Does anyone have these? I just bought them today in Silver, because I''ve wanted them since they came out. But the price tag is steep and I''m wondering if I will keep them (they haven''t arrived yet, the store I ordered from was out of them in Silver).

Thoughts?

I think that they are really beautiful and if you can afford them then you should totally keep them. Personally, I can''t afford to spend that much on sterling earrings but I wish I could!

I say enjoy them, Gypsy

i have a couple of sterling tiffany pieces. They''re steep in price tis true but the copies usually arent the best (for silver pieces this is) from what ive seen, and particularly with the Marrakesh design (which ive also admired

) i think you''re better off with the real thing...

So wear them in good health, and take many pictures

Tiffany''s silver is expensive, but they have a heft to them that I''ve never seen in silver pieces. I''m sure there are other designers that use silver well, but I do really love Tiffany silver and I love my pieces from Tiffany. I looked them up, and the price is definitely steep in my opinion. But, that''s what I thought when my SO bought me the Tiffany Nature ring, and I absolutely adore it and have been wearing it for years.

I just looked them up on the Tiffany website and they''re lovely earrings. Too steep for sterling silver in my life, but if you''re comfortable with the price, they''re very beautiful :)

I know. They are pricey--- especially for Silver. But it WAS the heft and solidness that won me over. They are REALLY nice quality. Actually.. they are nicer than some of their diamond peices (the Legacy rigns I am seeing the the stores usually have flaws I can spot with my naked eye) in terms of workmanship . But for the price I could have gotten something with diamonds second hand. And I know that. There are a couple of pieces I have had my eye on, but... I splurged. Thing is I''m NOT a splurger... I''m a deal hunter. BUT then I keep thinking of " a deal isn''t a deal unless you get exactly what you want" and then I think... maybe I can think of these as deal? My husband is convinced I''m going to return them.

We''ll see when they get here (whenever that is... they are backordered so it''s a matter of getting them from a store that has a pair in).

I think it''s a great collection. I like the turquoise and gold (and emerald and gold) pieces the best (they''re very expensive). I like Paloma Picasso. She actually lives in Marrakesh. You probably won''t know if you want them until you get them but I vote for keep them and post pictures!

I can''t seem to find them on the Tiffany website .. however, I would say, if you can afford them, and you really like them when they come in, you should keep them!

And, don''t forget to post ear-shots! When are you expecting them to be delivered?

I don''t see the earrings on the site either, but I''m excited to see them on you when they come in!

Oh good, I''m not the only one!

You can find them on the site in gold.

Gypsy, they're really lovely. I mean, really, really lovely. And they do have a very Moroccan feel about them, which I totally adore. And I think that you'll be really happy with them when you get them.

I hope you keep them - I think right now you're gonig through what a lot of PSers go through when they've ordered their ring (or dress or flowers or whatever) but don't have them in their hands. Having to order them gives you time to think and doubt - once you get them and you put them in, I really don't think that you're going to want to give them up. I mean, heck...I'm not a big Tiff's fan, but I really want these earrings! So if you ever decide you don't want them anymore.....

If no one else can find them, I won''t go look! But I bet anything, I''d think they were worth the money, Gypsy. I like quality silver. I inherited some Georg Jensen USA pieces of sterling silver jewelry that my mother

bought in New York City during World War II. I also inherited half her set of Georg Jensen silver flatware and have a huge set of Tiffany sterling silver flatware of my own. If it is quality silver, it is worth having. At least

that is my opinion. You go, girl! I can''t wait to see pictures!

Sorry, should've made my post clearer: I can't find them in silver on the site (and therefore don't know what price point they're at!)

ETA: I do think they're gorgeous; do you think you'd get a lot of wear out of them, Gypsy?

ETA2: Holy bejeezus, I just found out the price .. eek!

HI:

They look marvellous--you''ll adore them!

cheers--Sharon

I think they are beautiful! I also can only find them in gold on the tiffany''s site so I do not know how much they are. Are they over $300? I am curious now because I love them!

Those are the earrings! Thank you Deb. And they are a whopping 525 in price. In silver. In gold they are 1500. They are great quality. And now that I''ve slept on it, I''m more inclined to keep them. I had querried a couple of Etsy silver smiths for ''inspired by'' earrings and they came up with some lovely designs based on the pics on the web, but when I saw these in person I knew inspired by''s weren''t giong to make me happy. I do think that I will love owning them.

Danny There are quite a few pieces in the collection I love, problem is the price. I''ll be scouring ebay in a year hoping to get lucky! Thanks for the advice, I think you are right. Princesss, thank you honey for pointing out that part of the issue is not having them. I think you are 100% right. When I get them in hand... I''m probably just going to not want to give them up at all.

I don''t know when they will get here. I''m hoping by Friday. I promise to post pics (of course).

My other concern in my cat Hally. She likes all my larger earrings and runs off with them. I only have one earring left in several pairs because of her, including some very nice turquoise ones made with high quality silver. Plus the stinker can open my jewelry box.

I think they are very beautiful and will look good on you. The only thing that I would consider is this: sometimes intricate sterling silver patterns will tarnish in places that you really will not be able to clean off. When I buy Tif sterling I try to buy the smoother items that I know I will be able to polish, otherwise I buy it in gold.

That would be one thing to consider for the longer term. Very nice collection!
