In my experience if you purchase gold or platinum Tiffany jewelry on Ebay it is authentic because as far as I know the fakes are pretty much the silver pieces. I tend to purchase using paypal and my credit card for the most protection and use high feedback sellers. If you have seen the real Tiffany necklace in person the it should be easier for you to tell if it is real. Also, you have to know your price (like you do here) I've seen Tiffany pieces sold for over retail! For higher ticket items you can have Tiffany appraise it but here I would just have the diamonds checked if you're concerned at all but it is probably real and at a good discount from retail.
