I am getting engaged and have narrowed down between the classic Tiffany 6 prong setting and the Tiffany Harmony ring. I am getting a one carat as I do not want it to be flashy. I cannot decide between the two and would love some input about what vibe each ring gives and just overall opinions! I truly love them both equally and every time I think I have a preference, I switchScreenshot 2025-08-25 at 12.17.49 PM.pngScreenshot 2025-08-25 at 12.18.02 PM.pngScreenshot 2025-08-25 at 12.18.13 PM.pngScreenshot 2025-08-25 at 12.18.41 PM.pngScreenshot 2025-08-25 at 12.19.02 PM.pngScreenshot 2025-08-25 at 12.19.10 PM.png

What a lovely conundrum to have! They both look beautiful on you. I personally think the classic Tiffany 6 prong setting makes the stone appear a little larger and more round. The Harmony style is pretty also. I’m no help at all!

If I were buying a Tiffany engagement ring today, I would definitely go with their classic setting - six prongs on knife edge band. I too think it makes the diamond appear larger and looks like the diamond is floating above the finger. It is classic and timeless and somehow reiterates the Tiffany brand to me. I guess I am more of a traditionalist when it comes to iconic jewelry pieces.
Keep us posted and please come back with pictures of whichever design you choose! Exciting stuff!

Edited to add: just went to Tiffany website. They used to show some of their size, color and clarity combinations set in their engagement rings. They aren’t doing that anymore and they invite you to call them for info and appointment. Did you have to make an appt to see certain size and color selections?

I love the little wider band of the Harmony, but love a round in six prongs. Too bad they can't "marry" (see what I did there?) the two styles.

You will never go wrong with the classic knife edge 6 prong. It’s always in style and majority of wedding bands look beautiful with it.

I love the look of the 6 prong. It accentuates the round stone and is such a classic look!

HI:

No wrong answer here. But I have the classic setting and I LOVE it, timeless and so recognizable.

If I went for a wider band it would be with the Lucida but I don't think that is an option.

Let us know what pretty you end up with!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

HI:

I don't wear jewellery to bed. And no issues with snagging clothing.
