Does anyone know why Tiffany is done making the legacy ring? I have been back and forth with one of their sales reps, and in the process of setting my e-ring in the ornate setting. They told me it was going to take 3 months, and is one of the last legacies they have. Just curious as to why Tiff is done with these, esp with the positive feedback of people liking this style and setting. Thanks

I have heard they are discontinuing the ORNATE legacy...but I don''t think they''d discontinue the regular one.

As far as I know, they haven't discontinued the Legacy. I visit the downtown Philadelphia store and the King of Prussia store at least once a week, and none of the SA'S have told me that they're discontinuing it. They have lots of them in their display cases. I do know that they're making a new setting called the Contour, which looks exactly like the Harry Winston micropave' cushion. So far they're using actual cushion cuts (not Novo's), rectangular Lucidas and emerald cuts in that setting, and they're only using stones of 2 carats or more. I'll ask one of the SA'S next time I go there.

Did you ask the sales rep the same question?

thank you for the replies, i bet it is the ornante legacy thats being discontinued, I think i read somewhere else it is due to the time it takes to make these rings

I know they''re not out yet but does anyone have pictures of these Contour''s?

I don't have any pictures of the contours, but the King of Prussia store had 3 of them the other week. All of them were around 4 carats. The setting does wonders for the rectangular Lucida - the one I saw looked like a ball of fire. Lucida looks much better in that setting than it does in the setting they normally use. The actual cushion cut was spectacular, too. I suspect that they'll have quite a few ready for the December holidays.

Hmmn. I really loved the ornate legacy, its a bummer they''re discontinuing it. I am looking forward to the Contour though!
