i went to Tiffany''s to see round stones and I thought they all looked good. I have read a lot about hearts and arrow stones and i guess the rounds at these stores might be great cuts... but NOT real H& A stones, right?

my question is... should I expect a whiteflash ACA or branded hearts and arrow stone to look BETTER than what we saw at Tiffany''s? Or will these well cut stones basically all look good and the same... the only main difference being if you compare the hearts/arrows in one of those viewers?

Gah... i wrote a really long post and then error!!!!!!

If you want to see H&As in your diamond, you should get an ACA or H&A branded stones. Tiffany diamonds are high quality diamonds but not necessarily H&A.

Depends on how much money u want to spend on a ring. There is a high premium to buy at Tiffany for the name.

Good luck!

T actually has H&A stones (not branded) they just don't know it or advertise this.

A H&A viewer/IS/ASET, etc. would help with seeing the arrows from top but all the stones are set so you can't get a glimpse of the hearts underneath.

Many T stones have awesome arrows!

I understand the price difference going with Tiffany compared to the internet... I guess I was most curious about how similar the stones are going to look once they are set.

Go see some Hearts on Fire diamonds. They are H&A superideals and there is probably a dealer near you. It will let you see the difference with your own eyes.

Welcome Dr Mitch

Ditto the ladies, definitely check out some HoF as those will give you a great point of comparison.

Cindy, what I do is copy my posts so if I get deadlocked I can repost them easily!

Cindy, what I do is use the back button, then preview and post again. Works on my firefox, not sure if it works on other browsers.

Not user error, it's just what happens with IE. I too copy my posts.

lisa, I am curious about your statement that Tiffs cuts H&A's, but may not know it. What makes you say this?

And to the OP, a stone can be beautiful without H&A's, it's the right proportions/angles more than anything that drive the light return/performance.
