Those prongs don''t look like Tiffany to me either...something seems a bit fishy...

I think the diamond looks very big for .22

Tiffany doesn''t do 4 prongs on round stones...

So they say they have the authentic Tiffany paperwork etc. And its a fake. That is so awful for the person who might buy it.

Im just glad they garanteed it was genuine. Puts my mind at ease!!! hehe. Seriously. Do they really think that stone could be a .22 ct in a size 6!!!!!

If they are that dumb, they deserve it.

I can see getting scammed on a good fake listing, but not on this one!

If people are sure it is a fake Tiffany it should be reported to eBay and we can only hope that it will be removed if it indeed is not what it is claimed to be.

I know nothing about Tiffany so I can not say if it is authentic or not myself.

I do know that I hate the thought of anyone else getting ripped off. No fun.

Run away from that seller!

Good pick up Maisie - that looks completely fake (and is no way a 0.22 for a size 6 ring looking at the proportions!!!) I called Tiffany and alerted them to the website and info - she confirmed it is not authentic. She is forwarding on to the proper people there. That makes me so mad that some poor person would purchase thinking they had the real thing only to get ripped off.

Yeah good find Maise!

:) Thank you so so much for calling Tiffany. PSers rock!

I really hope eBay actually removes this auction seeing as Tiffany confirms that it is not authentic.

This sort of thing is

I emailed the seller asking about the discrepency with the prongs. This was the reply I got...

Hi Maisiebelle, I took the pic from someone else selling a similar ring, as my digital camera is broken. The ring is real and just looked similar to my eye but good catch on the 4 prongs. The ring I have is a traditional Tiffany setting with 6 prongs. And it is real. Obviously if it does not sell this time I will have to borrow a camera to take pix and relist. Thank you for asking about this.

Hmmm...

Um... Okay... Good for you for contacting them. But - still... meh. I really, really hope no one buys it!

I also emailed asking for more pics on the inside to see the tiffany name, and carat and pics of the tiffany cert. She said she didnt have time to take the pics at the moment, but if it doesn''t sell, she would take some pics and relist the item. Talk about shaddy!!!

very true!!! It definitely sounds shady. If you were listing an original tiffany ring, surely you''d post pictures of it and not some other ring.

I've been scammed before on eBay. This sounds like a scam. Also don't put any value in the seller's ebay feedback ratings. I've been scammed by someone with a 100% feedback before for big bucks.

Also..."Original navy Tiffany Ring Box, with "Tiffany & Co" inscribed in gold inside on the navy blue satin."

Navy blue satin? Sure doesn't sound like a T&Co. ring box.

Does Tiffany's even sell gold engagement rings?

AStack-My Tiffany ring box is similar to that description---and I have MANY of them. The writing color recently changed to silver though.

Tiffany sells yellow gold rings, too. And four prong e-rings (however, these are rounds with sidestones such as baguettes).

The ring in the pic is 99.99% fake.......okay more like 100%
