Yay! I had the best time thrift shopping today! My etsy store was running low so I went out to restock, and discovered the jackpot of all thrift stores. It has inspired me to start a vintage/thrift store thread. Have you ever found anything amazing at a second-hand, consignment, thrift or antique store?

Here are some of the things I found today...

Vintage hair pins, cross necklace, pearl necklace, two mirrored jewelry holders, and BRAND NEW vintage Stuart Weitzman rhinestone pumps.

Found these a few days ago. Vintage portraits from France.

That's all for now! Will post more soon. :)

Ohh we just went to a goodwill that happened to be on the way home from grocery shopping today, and scored a seriously amazing wrought iron wine rack for an unbelievable price

Holy Geez! They''re all beautiful! Let''s see more pictures. I love everything you got. What a payload!

Several years ago, I got about six sets of embroidered pillow cases. They are lovely; all hand done. It looked like maybe someone cleaned an older person''s home out and just donated everything to Goodwill.

About two years ago, I found a brand new, tags still attached J Crew argyle sweater in Goodwill. I bought it for $4.50 and sold it on Ebay for $36. I love doing that.

Not antique stores or flea markets, but craig''s list is my friend. I get mainly furniture, so here are a few of the better finds.
I have two chairs that were hand carved in China. They are very ornate, hand carved and about 100 years old. They cost me $50.
My bedroom set is a bed and a dresser. They are walnut with inlayed burl wood. We paid $100, but they are easily worth 4 times that.
I love antiques but would never be able to have them without craig''s list.

The other is a thrift store by my house. I don''t usually go to them as nothing is my size or style, but all the stuff comes university students, so I checked it out sometimes. I love Express pants, but they are expensive and they redid the design for the ones I like so they went from pants that were made for me to ones too uncomfortable to wear. I have found 2 pairs there, so $4 total for pants that fit me better than the new ones that are $80 each.

A Star Wars pop up book. I was a secret Santa for one of SO''s friends, and I couldn''t have imagined a more perfect present from him than that.

there have been several finds in thrift shops for me,the best are
1-Victorian watch fob made of rose gold and carved onyx for $15.00(appraisal value=$400)
2-22KT gold bracelet from India with an ounce of gold paid.79 cents(need to re-appraise now that gold has hit 1256.00 an ounce)
3-carved class beads from the 1920s for .35 cents
4-vintage 1980s Ralph Loren Polo shirts for $1.00 each

These are pretty 1970s antique style hair pins, the shoes are cool also!

I love antiques and thrifting! I once got a really great overcoat from a thrift store which unfortunately is now to big for me. I had hoped to shorten it to half the length (it was long).

Most of my antiques are ones I have inherited - I have a tiny ivory elephant my great grandmother gave me, and her antique cabinet which is not my cook book cabinet. I have an old painting of a pig that my great aunt did as well. Someday I hope to have mostly antique furniture.
