Hello! My husband & I have decided to re-set my engagement diamond into a new setting, I currently have a platinum setting with sapphire side stones, but I''m looking to now set the diamond in a three-stone setting - diamond in the center with sapphires (larger than my current ones) on each side.
Here''s my question: does anyone have examples of three-stone rings where the stones are all equal in size? I''ve had this idea in my head for some time now, but most three-stone photos I have found have the 2 stones flanking the diamond somewhat smaller - even the Tiffany''s version has a ratio too small for my taste. There is certainly a large range of ratios out there. I''m not sure if I should have the sapphires the exact same size as the diamond (my diamond is .79 carats) because I''m not sure how that will look. My other choice is to go for a smaller sapphire, but still keep a pretty large diameter ratio between the diamond & sapphires (i.e. 85% or so).
Anyway, if examples exist of three equally sized stones, I''d LOVE to see them. Any input is much appreciated.
p.s. I will be meeting with my jeweler to discuss in a couple of weeks. But he''s on summer holiday now & I''m impatient!
I do really want to have done my research on what exactly I want beforehand as well.
THANK YOU!!
