I am about to buy a three-sided pave ring, similar to a Michael B design. The Jeweler is recommending I only have the diamonds go about 80-90% of the way around the band so that if it ever needs to be resized, that can be done easily.

I have seen many pictures of three-sided pave rings, especially on this site, but they all have the diamonds going all the way around. If you do that, how difficult is it to resize?

Are there other options?

Lastly, are there any pictures of a three-sided pave going only 90% of the way around?

Thank you for your help.

i would definitely recommend NOT going pave around the entire band. sizing being one of the main reasons.
there are plenty of examples of this if you do a search.
here is kaleigh's asscher for starters...

belle''s right, don''t do it. I purposely had my ring done 3/4 of the way for that very reason. Plus I didn''t want to bang diamonds on the bottom of the band. I am very happy with it this way.
