Avoid this one Chris, its much too deep, its only facing up for size like a 1.3 ct.

Ditto to the others - you definitely don''t want anything with >63% depth.

If you tell us what you are looking for, and what your budget is, there are a number of experts here who can help you find a well-cute stone that fits your requirements.

Sorry but jumping on this bandwagon but I also could do with your expert help.

I am preferably looking for the following:

Min:
Carat: 0.8
Colour: F
Clarity: VS1
Cut: Brilliant Round (although open to other suggestions?)

Preferably want:
Carat: >1
Colour: D-E
Clarity: IF-VVS1
GIA Certificate

Although my budget is about £4000 ($6500-7000) so not sure if this is possible with my ''preferable'' option?

Also at a last resort I am also considering going down the ''second-hand'' route for the diamond and having it set in a different ring. Where would be the best place for this? Hopefully I don''t have to go down this route though.

Lastly should much attention be paid to ''symmetry'' ''polish'' and ''fluorescence''? Is having some sort of fluorescene a good or bad thing?

Thanks for all your help!

Normally you should start your own thread, but here:

0.9 ct E VVS2

0.81 ct D VVS1

IMHO the AGS report is preferred to the GIA.

Thanks everyone so much!

I have a budget of about 6-7k. I am looking for a tiffany 6 prong setting and hopefully a diamond above 1 carat-round brilliant. i dont mind sacrificing on color and clarity (as long as it is eyeclean.)

I guess a color H or I does not bother me, i would rather have a larger stone than perfectly white. I also think carat size is more important than it being clear, so an eyeclean SI1 or SI2 is fine.

Any thoughts? Any specific diamonds would also be a big help!!!!

Heres a lovely diamond which could suit you perfectly, check it is eyeclean and that the cloud inclusion isn't impacting brilliance ( highly unlikely in a hand selected stone).

You would need to check these are eyeclean by asking the respective vendors.
