I''ve been reading pricescope for a while and have started looking for an asscher for an engagement ring. Based on all the positive reviews and wealth of information on their site I reached out to GOG to help me track down a stone. (Sarah has been very helpful.) I was hoping to get some thoughts on the following two stones. I have a couple concerns, but I''m going to keep them to myself for the moment. I don''t want to bias any feedback.

Thanks!

Hi ankaerith and welcome!

Karl is around so he should be able to give you his opinion in due course, personally I like the first one best but see what K says when he sees them.

I am replying as a non-expert who has only recently realized that she is in love with asschers and other step cuts. I have been looking at a lot in person and online to get a real feel for which ones I like and try to find out why.

That said I really like the first one myself. Just something about the pattern in the center just speaks to me.

As many know I have a business relationship with gog so have to very reserved in my comments.

I am a bit concerned about the windmills on the second ones ASET.
If they are not effective it can look like the center is floating.
I would ask for a video of them side by side and pay attention to the center of the second one then decide.

It is also possibly an issue with the first one but I don't think it will be, there looks like enough there to make it work.
A vid will answer both questions.

Oh blast, sorry Karl, I didn''t want to put you into a difficult situation, I will be more careful next time.

its kewl :}
Don''t worry about it, if I can''t answer I will say so and feel I have to put up a disclaimer so the person knows of my relationship with gog.

Honesty and sincerity :}

Thanks Pal - and absolutely right!!!

Thanks for the feedback.

I had already asked for a video comparison and should see it tomorrow.

My preference from the first glance was the first stone (VS2). My concern with it is the white areas in the ASET image and what appears to be a lack of contrast (blue areas).

leakage where it is wont be a problem in the first one it forms the patterns.
There isn''t a lot of blue because it is a multi-step pattern.
