I am using the wedding band we used during our ceremony as a spacer between my eternity band and .98 carat E ring (with .1 Carat tapered side baguettes). I like a classic look, but also don't mind a little more finger coverage.

Does the set look better with or without the plain band as a spacer? I really could use some advice. Thank you in advance for your honest input!

Love the spacer.

Thank you liaerfbv!

I a,so really like the spacer :)

I also like the spacer. Very pretty set.

Thank you :twirl: . Everyone here has lovely rings!

I like it better without. I think you need a thinner spacer or you need a spacer that
sticks up more to the height of you wedding band and engagement ring (if you are looking for
More finger coverage) .

I have somewhat of a similar set. I am looking to get a thin spacer (1 mm or less).
The other option is to get more of a knife edge band that will stick up higher.

I like it better without the spacer.

Beautiful rings!!
I like the set better without the spacer or with a spacer with more height. With similar heights, it will look more balanced.

Thanks for the very helpful input. I agree that a higher/ knife-edge spacer would be a better match. Does anyone have any ideas or photos?
tyty333, I would love to see your set!

I guess I'm gonna be one of the few that likes it without the spacer. Very pretty and classic set!

You can see my set in my avatar. Its a pear instead of round but I
the same spacer issues that you do.

Here are some links to spacers I have been looking at.

My opinion is without...but, you are not tied to only one look! If you already own the spacer, rotate it! Enjoy it!

Hi braindoc, I think it looks lovely both ways. I like the sentimentality of using the ring from your ceremony as a spacer--I wish I could (I envy those who can stack a lot of rings on their finger). It depends on what you love and purpose. I love my eternity ring with my engagement ring but am weary of "chewing" so I wear a spacer when wearing my new shared prong eternity.

My 1 mm spacer is special ordered from e-wedding bands with a height of 1.5 mm for $93 (inclusive of shipping etc). I worked with Laura (she was so helpful and great) and she suggested to do a height of 1.5 mm for structural issues. I'm glad she recommended that height because it worked out to push the "carriage" of my halo ER away from the eternity diamond band--any lower and it would have slid under the carriage and defeated the purpose. You can probably specify height if you need more height on the spacer.

Btw, I can still see my spacer but others IRL tell me they don't see it. I balance between wanting to protect the rings and the look without a spacer--spacer wins for protection.

I attached pictures of the spacer with my halo and solitaire so you can see. With the solitaire, the donut pushes it away but it is good to just have the spacer as extra precaution. I also like using the spacer when I pair my shared with another stacker to prevent scratching.

Hope that helps. Good luck with your beautiful set. Let us know what you decide. :wavey:

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful replies. I love all my rings, and have therefore decided to wear the ceremony ring on my right hand, and to keep my set looking classic and simple for now.

The set looks fine either way, but I actually prefer it with the spacer because it gives it a little more character.

Gorgeous rings! I like it without the spacer.

without _ :appl:
