Hey everyone,

First, this is just a great site, and i appreciate everyone''s help so far. It makes quite a difference walking into a local jeweler (armed) with the knowledge from PS!

What are your thoughts on this 1.09 H&A from GOG? It seems to be a real nice stone for the price. This is about what I am looing for, its at the limit of my budget (for the diamond). I ran the numbers through the HCA and it comes out to a 0.6. I know this is not the tell all, just another data point.

It be great if anyone has advise on this rock (the good''s and the bad''s) or has other suggestions.

Thanks!

Brian

That is a beautiful stone! Really, any of their hearts and arrows stones would be beautiful, but I SI1 is a good value.

I might slightly prefer this one, though, assuming it is eye clean:

It has more clouds instead of feathers, and I generally would prefer that unless Jonathan says otherwise for some reason. It''s cut is more similar to mine, so I like that better, too.

I looked at the specs for both these diamonds, and they are some slight differences, meaning the angles, the star ratios etc. not the color and clarity. There may be slight nuances that you may be able to detect with your eye. My suggestion is this. Ask Jon to do a video of these 2 diamonds(if you are deciding between these 2), and let you take a look. See which one that your eyes really like at the end of the day. I''ve come to realize that sometimes diamonds with more impressive specs may not necessarily please a person''s eyes. A lot of it depends on individual preferences.
Hope I''ve helped.
