Thoughts on this round diamond?

Hi everyone, I am thinking of buying this diamond for an engagement ring. Wanted to gather your opinions on if this is a good quality diamond and worthy of purchasing. Please let me know your thoughts/opinions, thanks!

Looks like you have been able to see it with hands and eyes on it in a retail store environment - What do your eyes tell you?

Have you done the following?
- Ask to have it put in a mock-up setting that will be almost identical to the one you are planning to set it in
- Taken it into various lighting conditions so you can gauge both dispersion and brilliance
- Inspect it under magnification
- Verify that the diamond matches the cert number

...and try to do all of this with a couple/few other contenders all sitting side by side.

I think it looks pretty good...obviously not super ideal quality but I assume you're not paying super ideal price.
I think it comes down to price.

yes I did all that when I went to see it and I loved it! I guess since I'm a little new to this I just wanted to hear other recommendations based on the specs and HCA/GemEx

Super Ideal is an approach to diamond hunting where there is a very specific range of proportions to stick to:
1. Crown Angle: 34-35°
2. Pavilion Angle: 40.6-40.9°
3. Crown Height: 15-15.5%
4. Overall Depth: 59.5-62%
5. Table Size: 53-57%
6. LGF: 75-80%

In conjunction, many will also urge that there are some characteristics that must also be present:
1. IdealScope Hearts and Arrows
2. ASET images
3. GIA 3x, AGS Triple Zero, or equivalent

There is some allowance for variation in the proportions, such as a crown angle up to 35.5° if the pavilion angle is 40.6° or a crown height of 14.5 to 16% if all the other properties check out fine and complement one another, for example.

Also, depending on the person/source, there will be some slightly different defined ranges for these proportions (such as 40.6-41° PA).
