I'm getting a video and pictures of the diamond on Wednesday, but in the meantime, I'd love input from you guys and gals about the diamond I'm looking at buying. I thought it was an awesome find because the hca also came in at 1.7, but Canvas mentioned staying away from 60/60 diamonds, so I'm nervous now! Thank you to any and all that feel like commenting. ::)

You don't need to avoid 60/60 stones, but you need to be aware that the performance may be different from a traditional Tolk cut.

Personally, I would try to go to a store that carries an inventory of well-cut stones and to see both 60/60 proportioned stones, and Ideal cut Tolk stones to get a better feel, in person.

Here is some info about 60/60 stones:

So with 60/60 diamonds, unless you get the right pav angle at 39.7, you don't get the H&A look right?

60/60 has nothing to do with H&A.

Ok that makes sense, thank you for the link! I'm hopeful since the pavilion angle falls just inside the parameters for possibly having a beautiful stone. I do worry since my old diamond had a 55% table. I will try to make a trip in to Philadelphia to see some 60/60 next to more traditional cuts.

Thanks again!
