Thoughts on this halo setting??

I'm still debating haloing my 1.7 rb. I stopped in a local jeweler and she let me try on someone's ring ( in the picture it's a 1.5 yellow diamond).. What are your thoughts on this. I want something that provides more finger coverage and still being dainty.

Well, it *looks* nice but I cant really tell much from the pictures.

Is it reasonably priced? Because, I would do a VC setting if it were in the budget.

To be honest, I think the 2 wedding bands *may* make your stone not look as big as it really is. Have you ever just worn
it with 1 wedding band?

Is that your wedding band you have on with the halo setting? It matches pretty well.

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking - are you asking if that exact halo setting (with your stone) is nice or are you asking about halo settings in general?
Your images are not enough to make any judgments on that particular halo setting. Close-ups (in focus) and side views would be helpful.
As far as halo settings in general are concerned, I love mine! (went from a ring similar to yours to a halo made by ERD). It made my overall setting much more dynamic and I get a lot of compliments on it

It's hard to judge the quality of that particular halo in the pics you provided, but I think the style looks very pretty on your hand. I think halos are a good choice if you're looking for some extra finger coverage. I have a halo and love it!

Tyty333- thank you! The problem with doing a custom setting is- I really don't know what I want!! It would run me about $1200..I think I've only received 3 comments on my current setting in 3 years. I feel like it looks like everyone else's ring!

Mom happy-sorry I was not clear I was asking which setting looked better. I really would love a bigger stone but that would be a year or more wait.. And I'm inpatient I want more finger coverage, but dainty still.. I hate that I have such long thin fingers because I feel like my current setting gets swallowed up.

I know what you mean about your ring looking like everyone else's - I felt the same way about mine. I always felt that I had a pretty ring, but it was so typical and there was nothing dynamic about it. Also, having researched and quoted halo settings, $1200 seems very low...

Mom happy- like scary low.. Should I run? I was quoted $3500 from Maytal Hannah for her cushion halo settings, but I wasn't comfortable moving forward because all the cushion settings I try on look like cocktail rings..not tgat hers would, but I was unsure.

Someone mentioned it looks to similar to my other setting, what do you think?

I believe the price would be $1600, but because they can use some of my gold and diamonds from my current setting it brought the price down..
