Hi everyone,
I have ordered the following diamond from whiteflash. In speaking with them they say the diamond has an inclusion which can be seen from less than 3 inches and the fluorescence is not a problem in artificial or natural light. The HCA score is 1.3. I know the idealscope image is not the best but it is an AGS000 and it is in my budget and has the size I am looking for. Just need to see how the inclusion looks. Any comments are welcome. Oh it is going in a full bezel platinum ring if that matters.
Thanks

We can''t really comment on an inclusion in a stone from a photo or grading report. It really should be judged by a person who is holding the stone and looking at it in different lighting and different angles.

I wasn''t sure from your post, but is the diamond eyeclean to YOUR standards? WF will be very honest and are trustworthy but you need to be clear you understand their definition of eyeclean. Are you happy if you can see the inclusion from the side only? Or extremely up close? Or will you only be happy with a stone that is 100% eyeclean from top and sides. You need to be really clear on what you determine eyeclean to be.

I guess what I am trying to say is (and doing a terrible waffly job at) , what would you be happy with as far as seeing an inclusion? You need to explain this to WF and see if the stone matches with your expectations.

Well that is the question. WF said it was eyeclean from 8 to 10 inches but it could be seen at less than 3 inches. I think I am ok with that-I think my GF would be ok too. I guess I will need to see the stone in person. I believe the inclusion that is noticable is in the center of the table and is most noticable in the ASET shot. I guess the hard question is would the inclusion bother her over time....

To be honest, I wouldn''t want an inclusion that was visible at all under the table in an ering stone. It would be ok for earrings, but women tend to spend lots of time looking at their ering diamonds (trust me, I am a lot less efficient at work since my engagement). An engagement ring stone is special too, and I would want it to be totally eyeclean, but that''s just me. Is you gf finicky or obsessive about things? If she is (like me) then I doubt she would be 100% happy with it, although she may not want to hurt your feelings by telling you either.

Once you have located an inclusion, it''s a lot easier to find it again, and you will find that your eyes are drawn to the inclusion quite easily as you know where it is located.

You can always see the stone for yourself and you can both decide whether you want to keep it or change it.

Are you sure WF don''t have any other stones in that combo in your budget? If you drop to slightly under the 1ct mark, ie. 0.97 etc you will save a few $$$ too, and it will face up the same, so I would keep an open mind about those stones too.

Good luck

Well she wears glasses to read, but does not wear them most of the time. I think if the inclusion is not visable from 8 inches I will be ok. I am concerned about her obsessing on it. This particular diamond was much less even if I went under 1 carat if I kept the cut quality and color grade...just hoping now.
Thanks for your thoughts and congratulations on your upcoming marriage.

Well since you have already ordered the stone I would wait until you see it in person to make a decision. I believe you can return it if you are not happy.
