Please provide your thoughts on the stats of this stone. Here are the stats: (I''m trying to get some pics)

1.502 G/VS2 AGS000

7.25 - 7.28 X 4.51 mm

The depth is 62.1%

table is 57.3%

cr angle is 35.8

pav angle is 40.3

HCA score is 1.0

Price is $10,550.

Thanks for your input!

looks like a nice very fiery diamond by the numbers.
an IS image will confirm it.
for someone who loves fiery diamonds it would be ideal

Hi and welcome

One thing I can see so far from the specs you provided is that this diamond is a bit on the deep side and could look smaller for it's weight, however mine it too and I wouldn't change that! The table is also a tad large, but I personally don't mind a larger table. Have you actually seen this diamond and do you love it? If so that is what is important, could be a great diamond.

Wow, thanks for the fast replies. I have not seen it yet - I have asked for photos and idealscope images and will post them as they come in.

Excellent - look forward to seeing them! Exciting stuff!

Lorelei,

Please expound on your answer regarding depth and table.

I have been (perhaps miguidedly) searching for the following:

table 53-58
depth 58-62.3
crown angle 34.0-34.7
crown height 14-16.3
pav depth 42.8-43.2

I was using a chart that I found that categorizes these diamonds as Class1A American Ideal Cut. Perhaps you can narrow my search by giving more "ideal" numbers so that I''m being more selective. Thanks a lot!

The numbers you gave could mean this is a cracker of a diamond! The depth being 62.1 basically means that the diamond is a little deeper than many prefer, the result of this is that as it has more depth on the bottom of the stone could mean that when viewed from the top and compared with another diamond of the same carat weight it may look a little smaller. Many folk also prefer a smaller table, generally speaking a smaller table means a more firey diamond, a larger table will give more flashes of white light and a little less fire - although this table is on no way huge and you could get a nice mix of both fire and brilliance, Strm is the angle guru and thinks that this diamond could be well disposed towards giving good fire. If you look in the knowledge section you will find the best numbers to aim for, however you have done well and the numbers can be subject to various opinions. Always remember when choosing a diamond, your best tools are YOUR OWN TWO EYES - numbers are very useful but don't always tell the whole story. My diamond is a trade Ideal Cut with numbers similar to yours. Would I change anything about it? Not a thing!

The pics and Idealscope images will come in useful too. ETA - do you have the girdle thickness too?
