Thoughts on this diamond...

I am looking tirelessly for a replacement for my leaky upgrade diamond from Blue Nile. Stock is so limited right now. This one has great numbers but so Ideal Scope/ASET, was hoping I could get some visual feedback. @flyingpig - thoughts? I have an Ideal Scope at home but I'd love some thoughts...really appreciate everyone's help here!

The reason why I ask is that you, too, are aware that "stock is so limited". It is absolutely the worst time to buy a diamond. And your budget and 3C requirements make it even more difficult. 1.5c I~G for 10k..... That is a popular combo.

Do not get me wrong. It is a good stone on par with other diamonds you have selected so far. Minor leakages here and there; nothing major. But strong combined with clouds not shown means potentially a hazy and cloudy stone under strong light.

I looked and expanded to include 1.4c and 60% table. Not a single stone catches my eyes.

Thanks for the insight @flyingpig I’m kicking myself now for starting my upgrade process in October. I thought I found great stone but it was leaky.

My budget is $11500 max. 1.5 G-I. Maximum sparkle. Will not settle for less. I’m willing to wait for the perfect stone. Blue Nile is fine with exchanges as well. Plus I got myself an ideal scope after being on this board.

Any idea when stock will go up again?

From what I have been seen, you may have a brief opportunity in Jan before Valentine, which is as bad as Christmas season. Then things settle down.

I just ordered earrings from blue nile.....and whatever I was putting on hold was getting removed from my cart. The BN rep said diamonds are being sold like candy! My earrings ship out Jan 7th but I'm still keeping an open eye....
