It's a 60/60 with a low crown. Normally we don't like crowns under 33.5 with a 60/60 stone.
The 60/60 discounts it.

And so does the Strong Blue Fluorescence.

Both are discounting factors.

So, while it's a nice stone (even with the low crown) it is WAY overpriced honestly.

Strong Blue but no 60/60: http://www.brilliantlyengaged.com/1.05-carat-g-si1-excellent-round-cut-diamond-gid-56988.html 5,500

So yeah. I can fully believe that this vendor is putting this forward as a great stone for you to buy from him. He's making a FANTASTIC profit on it. I could understand even 800 over the online prices, given his overhead as a brick and mortar vendor. But $1500- $2,000. No, that's just overpriced.

This is what your budget buys you online: http://www.b2cjewels.com/dd-6313939-1.17-carat-Round-diamond-E-color-SI1-Clarity.aspx?sku=6313939&utm_source=pricescope.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=pricescope.com

E color. Si1. And 1.17 carats. Not a 60/60 and no fluorescence. And eyeclean (confirm with the vendor). $7,230.09

Thanks for the replies, sounds like I do need to do my homework a bit more so im not disappointed!
So what is the best clarity and colour I could get for that price of say around $7000 USD?

Thanks
