I am not sure if the crown angle is 35 or 36, if 36 degrees it appears this diamond is within fiery ideal cut range, which means it could lend itself to a good display of fire or coloured light in the right lighting conditions - the trade off is that often these types of diamonds can have a bit of extra depth and can face up a little smaller for it's weight. If the crown angle is 35 degrees then it is still a well cut stone but I would look for depth between 60 - 62.4% thereabouts. It depends on what you are looking for. The clarity is fine if you want a very high grade. G colour is a nice middleground, you could ask if Quest can provide you with an Idealscope image.

there's nothing wrong with a 62.9 depth in itself. the rest of the measurements have to work together to create a nice stone.

FWIW the crown angle looks like 36 degrees to my eyes.

Are you specifically looking for a diamond of such high clarity? You may like to consider looking at lower clarity grades. VS2 diamonds are usually eye clean, as are many SI1 diamonds. (You can ask your vendor to check each diamond for you to ensure it fits within your own definition of eye clean).

If you are happy to get a VS2 or even SI1 diamond, you could go up in size, if this is of interest to you.

Personally, I would advise that you focus on getting the best possible cut - either an AGS0 Ideal cut, or for a GIA certed stone one which is graded Ex/Ex/Ex for cut, polish & symmetry.

You can run the angles through the HCA to gauge the cut. Aim for a score between 0 and 2 and reject any diamonds that score over 2.

No, if the crown angle is 36 degrees then the diamond falls within fiery ideal cut range, more depth can be the trade off you get with these types of diamonds. If the crown angle was 35 degrees then the diamond would be more within traditional Tolkowsky range, so I would look for less depth between 60 - 62.4% thereabouts to get the maximum spread or face up size.
