I tried searching for tips on buying preloved, but didn't find anything. I would love advice on how to make sure the jewelry is as represented. In this instance, the seller says she bought the diamonds from one jeweler as earrings, then had the diamonds turned into a necklace by another jeweler. She does not have a receipt for the conversion. Thanks in advance for any advice!

See if she can send it to a jeweler who will act as a neutral party so you can verify the specs

I’m pretty sure the seller is a member on here- she does have a thread about the earrings if you do a search. Maybe she could ask BGD and IDJ to verify the work that was done?
