Thoughts on this BN Signature D .50 carat IF?

Folks,

I have enjoyed reading these forums and learning such much, thank you.

Thinking about buying this diamond for my girlfriend and letting her pick her own setting after the fact. She is 5'' with small ring size (~3) and works in medical field, so is fairly active, and I think, not wanting a rock that will stick out too far. I could afford a larger stone, but think this might be a good size and this stone seems to have the other dimensions nailed, including cut (H&A inscribed). It scores 1.3 on HCA. I wish it had some flourscence, but it has none. Can anyone see any red flags with this?

BTW, I also like the WF website but couldn''t find the right ACA for my situation.

It is rare indeed to find a well cut D IF, and it seemsyou did. well done.

Make sure there is an adequate trade up deal with BlueNile as in my experiances guys know didly squat about what girls want. You are probably very wrong now, and if you are not now, I bet you a nice bottle of wine you will be in 10 years time

Blue Nile does not have an upgrade policy, so I would not risk buying the D IF since I agree with Garry that there are probably better choices if she didn''t specify this.
