lenny, you don't even need to use the HCA on AGS Ideal cut stones. The HCA is to help you evaluate GIA stones because GIA excellent is a much broader category than AGS Ideal, so some stones are better than others. You are fine with an AGS Ideal cut stone! As long as you have the assurance that it is eyeclean and there is a return policy just in case there is any reason you don't like it when you see it, then you should be good!

Price sounds just right! Just make sure you examine the stone closely to be sure you don't see inclusions from the top or side once it is set. Good luck and please come back and post pictures for us!
