Thoughts on these 3 diamonds? (2 cushions and a radiant)

I kinda dislike them all. The first one is the nicest to me though. Did you ask for an ASET? Let me see if anything looks better to me.

you need to request IS for all 3 of them before we can evaluate light performance.

I did not ask for an ASET. But here's one more I'm looking at. It's a radiant, 2.01ct, F VS1, table 67, depth 67.2.

That one is more pleasing to me in terms of patterning. What do you think of it? My only concern is that ring of darkness under the table.

What could be causing that dark ring in the picture I posted?

I think I actually like the G VS2 you posted best. Not much of a fan of the patterning in the first two suggestions. Is there a name for that style of patterning? Just curious.

Anyway, thanks for all of the links! This gives me a lot to think about over the weekend!

The dark ring could be A) a bad photo or B) compromised light return. If you can get an ASET of it you will know what it is. If in an ASET there is a blue/blank ring then it's definitely a pass. But even a green ring with blank areas around a red center and a red perimeter means that you will see that ring area as less bright or even dark.

I posted a few GVS stones. But none of them are the same faceting as the cut cornered square brilliant with the hearts and arrows faceting. Those are usually cut for optimal light return though, so they are very bright stones. BUT the arrows will make it look like a hybrid of a radiant and a round so they aren't for everyone.

My favorite stone I posted for you is this one though. http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/H-VS1-Ideal-Cut-Cushion-Diamond-1345530.asp
