trying to locate a nice square''ish cushion. i''m not sure how to determine if the cut is ideal for this size.

also should i consider an egl?

http://www.abazias.com/database/NewDiamondInfo.asp?stock=39383668

or pls feel free to recommend a beauty. i dont want to get anything less than H in color, eye clean and nothing less than 4ct. my budget is 50k

tia!

Fabulous budget, and boy is she lucky on the size!

Do a search on EGL - I would not consider an EGL unless it was:
1. EGL USA and
2. independently appraised by a certified independent appraiser (not another jeweler) to confirm

Also the larger the stone the more apparent color becomes. If warmth does not bother you then you don''t need to worry (but I suspect this may be at least a consideration to you since you mentioned you did not want to go any lower than H). An H in a smaller stone will not have as much warmth as an H in a 4 carat. I am letting you know this in case you have not seen 4 carat H''s and thought it would be the same color as a smaller stone.

HTH!

I will look around some too to see if I can help spend your $!!

Okay - I just saw the Abazias stone - it is EGL Israel and I would not recommend them (them meaning EGL Israel). My experience with them was they were two clarities and two colors off and the stone was worth much less than paid. If you thread search EGL Israel you will find this is not an unusual experience with them.

ETA: I initially missed you wanted a cushion (I think I stopped at 4 carat and 50K budget!). Consider calling Mark at Engagement Rings Direct who is often considered the go to cushion guy. He is based out of NYC

thanks for the info smiley. i would greatly appreciate help in "spending my $". lol so if u see any links online to a good stone, pls pls do share.

I'm going to ditto contacting Mark at ERD. He IS known as the "cushion guy". You are not likely to find as nice of one searching on your own, as he can find for you.
