Good morning everyone!!

I''ve been going back and forth on a few settings and I just wanted some input on the Ascension from WF.

Should I be concerned with the stones in the prongs falling out?

Thanks :)

TkBigs,

What a gorgeous ring.

My limited experience--mainly anecdotal--with this sort of setting is that the melee are liable to fall out on occasion with enough wear and tear over the years. But if you love the ring, then get it! It can always be repaired with ease if you ever notice the stones getting a bit loose. And WF has a fantastic reputation. Why don''t you shoot an email to Bob Hoskins over there and ask him his thoughts?

Good luck!

it may or may not, depending on how rough you are on the setting. I would not get that kind of setting as, to me, most of the melee is hidden from view in normal viewing condition, no point.

I don''t see why it would be any more prone to stone loss than any other with melee, pretty setting.

Yeah, that''s true, Stone Cold . . . I guess a wedding band could obstruct one side of it soon enough, too!

Oh wow! I love that setting...so classic looking and then you get a little surprise! Too bad they don''t have that on a micro pave band also.

Thanks for everyone''s input on this setting :)

I never thought about it being covered up by the wedding band. Good looking Stone!

I do like the idea of a little surprise tho :) She''s not into all the bling everywhere so I thought this was a pretty simple setting but... at the same time it has a little surprise for the " O WOW " factor. ;)

Cheers!

Maybe you could consider a setting that has a "surprise" stone? Something like this perhaps: Comfort-Fit Surprise

If she''s not that into bling but you want to give her a little "oh!" that''s a pretty setting, and you wouldn''t have to worry about losing melee stones.

Also, keep in mind that Whiteflash has a great reputation for their custom work, as well! If you find a setting you like, you can modify it to make it perfect.

I second ts44''s opinion........
