Thoughts on Neil Lane rings from Bachelor/Bachelorette!! :)

Hellooooooo! I'm going to try not be embarrassed to ask about this, but I just MUST! I'm a huge Bachelor/Bachelorette fan and as this current season of The Bachelorette is ending next week, I'm starting to think about the potential ring that will be chosen, if a proposal occurs. One of my favorite things is looking at the ring that is chosen when appears in People, US Weekly, etc. - I love seeing a close up of the ring and additional info. Please friends, tell me that I'm not the only one?!

Anyways, my question is, what do you all think about the quality of those rings? There are many people here who definitely know what a quality ring looks like, and I would LOVE to get your opinions! I have always thought that those rings are a-ma-zing, but since joining PS, I've learned so much, and especially, that a superb halo (since those are what are primarily chosen on the show) take a pave master (VC, LM etc.) to create.

Thanks!! And please don't judge me too much! I'm hoping that there are many others who take the same interest as I do in the rings?! Please, please?!

Guilty!! So much so i looked for neil lane rings when getting engaged. His stuff in my price range is *cough* crap!
I dunno about those other rings... im tired of them all getting the same or simillar? Time for a new direction neil? They use to have tacori rings given out. I dunno, maybe they are good maybe they are just a big stone.. i dont get to see specs for them so i cant judge

My favourite as well - it was a little classier than some of the OTT ones some of the guys choose. But I too am over the Neil Lane thing. Wouldn't it be awesome if one of our PS vendors were picked to provide rings!?! Wow - think of the marketing coverage!! Do you think they actually have to pay for any of the e-rings, or is the exposure/publicity enough and they 'donate' the ring? Curious....

BUT --- based on last nights show... do you think there'll be a ring chosen??

If I had to guess, I think the whole show is over. Either Brooks comes back, or she doesn't pick anyone at all.

Even if she did pick someone, could you imagine how he felt after he watched last night's episode? They'd be broken up after he witnessed that for sure!

And as far as the ring goes, the show pays for it I'm sure.

Yay!! I love all of your responses!!!!! My favorite ring thus far is Catherine's. I gotta say though, there is just sooooo much micro-pave, you would think stones would fall out.

I follow Reality Steve and I still believe his spoiler, regardless of what happened last night. We'll see though.

And I'm tired of Neil Lane, also. I loved it when Tacori rings were chosen. And I bet there are other designer rings that would be awesome to see as well!! His rings are pretty, but there are many out there that are just as pretty if not more so!!

The show pays for the rings but if the couple splits with in 2 years they have to give it back. If they last 2 years or more they can keep it. One of the bachellorettes sold her tacori ring on ebay. My votes with whiteflash! Haha

P.S i just watched it as im in aus. And i really want brooks to realise he does love her but he didnt want to let himself get to invested due to him thinking he wouldnt be picked. And yeah if i was one of those other guys i would not stay with a girl i knew would of chosen someone else if she could of ive always been a brooks fan so i totally cried!! PPS. Juan Pablo for next bachellor boo yeah

I don't like Neil Lane rings. Yeah, they're prettier than the average Joe Schmoe ring, but they're just meh in comparison with real lovelies! That or the collection that the Bachelor/ette always choose aren't that great.

I love the part where they show the ring selecting! I just wish there was more variety than just halos. I can't wait to see see how things turn out on Monday. So bummed that brooks isn't in love! I saw a preview that had a ring in it, so at least we might be able to see some rings...But I think it is going to be a sad ending...

I watch these shows more than any straight male would like to admit, and I got sick of Mr. Lane and his product placement very quickly. I just get the smarmy businessman vibe from him, not a genuine designer with passion. I mentally crossed him off my list before I even considered getting engaged.

My other ring-related gripe is that it becomes so much about the ring materially and the sentimental meaning behind it is lost, at least from the male perspective. The man (or men) proposing each season has been gifted a ring that he chose from a limited selection for marketing purposes. It taints a very personal decision with monetary influences. Not trying to be high-and-mighty here, but I would not feel comfortable proposing under those circumstances, and would question any man who is.

Alas, it is entertainment.

I completely agree with you! Mr. Lane "seems" nice enough but let's be real, what a way to advertise his brand!! He's there to make money. Every single time a proposal happens and the ring is shown online, he always gushes about how in love the couple is. I don't find that very genuine. And more often then not, he's getting his rings back since the majority of the couples don't last.

Let's say that Brooks has a change of heart, realizes he does love her, and comes back. I don't know that I could be with someone who was SO UNSURE, even when she was crying her eyes out he was still saying things that were further breaking her heart. The odds are not in their favor...surprise surprise!

Yes, there was a preview with a glimpse of a ring… but there was also a preview showing all 3 of the last 3 guys upset, riding in the limo. I think she's going to turn the last two guys down after they get ready to propose, and have the ring in tow.

I am sure there will still be a proposal, and the ring will be a thin micropave halo. This show always follows a script.

I do not think the couple will make it long-term though.

I just watched the episode last night. My impression of the ring: just like Chris' poetry--nice gesture, but leaves me scratching my head.

Is it just me, or does it look like a 1.2 ct center with about 2 cts of melee?? A little restraint, please.

From the brief shots they showed, Neil Lane's other offerings didn't look much better. If I were the Bachelor, I'd demand at least a 2.5 ct center.

Eonline and a few other sources reported it as 3.7ct center...definitely does not look that large!

On a sad note.......Gia committed suicide who was on Jake's season and 2 bachelor pads, just very sad.
