I found this ring in a parking lot over 5 years ago and was not successful in finding the owner. I''ve had it sitting in a jewelry box ever since, and just stumbled upon it again, today. I have been told that it is an antique and it certainly appears that way, but I''m not sure just how old it could be. The only marking on it is a K on the inside of the band, whatever else used to be written there is smushed. Does the engraving style denote any particular time period or designer? Anything about this ring stand out to anyone? Thanks!

I don''t have anything to say except that you have a very pretty ring!

Thanks szh!

Anyone else got any thoughts?

Its hard to tell by the photo, but you could look at the diamonds to tell a bit more about the ring. Are they modern round brilliants? If they are, that puts it within the last hundred years or so. But then again the stones could have been replaced through the years. Some others more experienced in estate jewelry might be able to weigh in more. Regardless, it is a very interesting and beautiful ring.

Its lovely Snickles, sorry no idea on the date!

It looks to be a newer ring with antique styling. A neo-Victorian motif (newer rendering of ~ 1880''s styling).

The diamonds have the look of modern round brilliant cuts, which would place the ring at 1950 or later, unless they were added, which I doubt.

The neo-Victorian style was very popular in the 70''s and early 80''s. That would be my guess on the dating.

Thanks everyone! I took a closer look at the diamonds, and they do appear to be modern round brilliants. That''s a good give-away. Thanks for pointing that out. Your informed opinions have been most helpful, and are very much appreciated.
