Thoughts on diamond stud sizes?

Thinking a lot about updating my .80 ctw WF diamond studs. There seems to be a really significant price jump between 1.2 or 1.25 ctw to 1.4 ctw. I’m wondering if it would visually make a difference or it is worth waiting for get the 1.4s. I am hoping these are my last pair and I want something that can be casual and everyday as well as dressed up. I’m also wondering what diamond prices are going to do in the next year, but I guess no one can say for sure. Any thoughts?

Looking at about a 12% increase in face-up surface area between 0.6 and 0.7 carat...a 0.3mm increase in diameter would be noticable in a side-by-side comparison.

0.6ct Round (5.42×5.44×3.33) vs 0.7ct Round (5.72×5.75×3.54)

Compare 0.6 carat Round (5.42×5.44×3.33mm) vs 0.7 carat Round (5.72×5.75×3.54mm) on actual diamond size and finger coverage (23.16mm² vs 25.83mm²)

I would save up and wait until you can get the 1.4 ctw. I tried going from 1.5ctw to 1.87 ctw or .75 each to .94 each and the difference was not enough. Hold out for a bigger increase. Here are some pictures for reference. This is them side by side. You can see the difference but on the ear it really wasn’t that noticeable

Finally settled for 2.16 ctw you can really see the diameter difference between them 5.75 mm vs . 6.6 mm or .74 vs 1.09
