Hello all, I am wondering what type of wedding band would work with my e-ring. I am okay with some space between the band and the ring, but my fiance thinks it looks distracting. However, I "would" like to wear the band alone sometimes, and if I get a designed one that curves under the halo, it''ll look icky alone. Fiance suggested an eternity band I could turn over so the curve doesn''t show when I wear it alone.

What do you guys think? I don''t know about turning an eternity band around to wear alone. Won''t that be a pain? Also, I love the thiness of my e-ring (approx 1.5 millimeters with 32 bead set diamonds, and would love to keep the w-band as delicate as possible.

Thanks so much for any thoughts. A few pics attached.

and another to show how curved the halo is.

I know its a slightly different setting, but have you seen the way Ashley Judd wears her rings? So pretty!

I''d get two bands. one curved to go around your wedding ring and a second straight one to wear by itself. I don''t think turning the curved band upsidedown would be very comfy and i''d worry about hitting the diamonds on things.

If you decide on an eternity band I do think curved would look best. When wearing alone turn the curved part palm side. No one will be the wiser.

ETA: MrsS, we were posting at the same time. Maybe someone who has a curved band can do a test for us. I wouldn't be anymore scared about hurting the diamonds than with a regular e-band. Or are you saying avoid e-bands all together?

Thanks for the quick comments. Ashley Judd''s rings are to die for, but I think my stone and halo are too "flat" for that look. Nothing would really pop out, ya know?

The thing I worry about the curved w-band is that it would look messy and kinda ''80s (no offense to wedding sets of the ''80s!). I just want it to look blingy but delicate. I know a lot of you have halos, but it seems most leave some room for a ring underneath.

I am not a huge fan of curved bands myself. Have you tried some narrow eternity bands at a local B&M to see how they look with your ring? Let''s figure out what YOU want, and worry about convincing hubby later.

i echo the comments above.... not a fan of the curved bands, just me...

i think just going and trying some w-bands on will help you make the right decision. :)

LC-good point!

I haven''t been to a b&m yet, but I do have a .5 carat channel set band at home I tried on with it, and (even though it totally didn''t go together, I admired the sparkle factor and avant garde look!) I felt as though there really was too much space. But maybe with a different ring more suited to my own, it will look better.

I LIKE space, I personally don''t like the curve look (unless someone shows me one that changes my mind

). Just not sure.

You could get 2 bands - a "spacer" band made to fit flush against your ering, and an eternity wedding band to go below that. You could then just have a plain eternity band, and not wear the spacer and ering. Just another thought.

I''m not usually a fan of curved bands either but I love the look of treysar''s band with hers:

That one is nice...and there''s still some space between them. The curved one I tried on in a jewelry store (was 3 sizes too big, but I digress) was meant to bump up against the entire halo and I just didn''t like it.
Thanks for the pic!

I have the exact same problem. My halo setting is too low that I cant tuck a ring underneath of it. I didnt like the curved one at first but I tried one on, It was by Alishan and it looks soooo good with a halo! There''s a slight gap in between it so you can still distinguish the ering and the wedding band. I didnt get it though because it is still a little over our budget. I settled for a plain white gold 1.5 mm half eternity ring and a plain 1.5 mm rose gold ring that I can stack together. If you dont mind the huge gap in between the rings, I think it looks good with it.

Another one of my dream wedding rings for mine is Brooke Shields thin trilogy/rolling rings.

I think that a thin pave diamond band might look nice with your ring.
