Anyone care to offer thoughts on this stone?

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-2782664.htm

I've just started looking at actual rocks (see this thread for my setting questions! https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/help-with-tacori-2639-or-custom-made-rose-gold-halo.186541/)

The thing I struggle with is understanding how to use the specification numbers in conjuntion with the Ideal-scope, etc. Those numbers seem in line with what some PS'ers say is ballpark of good though. And the Idealscope looks closer to "ideal" idealscope than not based on some threads I've seen, but maybe I'm wrong?

Also this is more for learning and I'm not attached to this vendor in any way, just trying to put into practice the stuff I've picked up here! (That said, I do actually need to buy one of these at some point, so..)

Non-expert opinion:

Symmetry looks decent, angles are good, Idealscope looks relatively nice.

There are small leakage zones apparent near 3:00 and 6:00 but I have seen worse IS images and I don't think these would be apparent to the human eye.

HCA reports score of 1.8 with EX,VG,VG,VG.

With VVS2 or less I believe you should ask the vendor if a stone is "eye-clean" (make sure to tell them your definition of eye-clean)

For peace of mind, if I was going to buy another diamond I would probably want the HCA to read like this:

HCA score 1.0-1.9 with EX,EX,EX,VG.

I didn't look closely at the specs but this looks like a lovely stone. Word to the wise, though. If you end up thinking seriously about one particular stone, you should probably put a hold on it before you post it on PS. There are lots of lurkers on PS and there have been a number of times where someone posts a stone that gets the thumbs up and someone else buys it before the original poster can get back to the vendor. Don't let that happen to you.

All ACA's are going to have great numbers because they are cut to tight specifications. You don' t ever put AGS Ideal cut stones into the HCA because they have been graded for light performance by AGS. We use the HCA for the much broader GIA Ex category to help us narrow down stones that might fall into AGS Ideal specs!

This stone is fine. It has a solid red center ASET. There would be no leakage affecting light performance.
