Thoughts on “bow tie-less” oval cut

Hello! Very very new to lab diamonds. I’ve recently seen a jeweller that I follow online saying that they have come up with a cut where the bow tie would no longer be existent (they explain it as a crushed ice effect). Anyone have experience with this or any thoughts? I’m generally just curious if this is a possibility why are they all not just made with no bowtie?

Some specialty oval cuts are somewhat bow-tie less. 4 main ovals tend to be more bow-tie less. I've also seen 4 mains with extra
facets that give more of the crushed ice effect.

So, yes, IMO they exist. Do you have any links to the cut this jeweler is talking about?

Not everyone likes the crushed ice look, so they would not all be created that way. Variety, you know.
