Thoughts/Help on this diamond

What do you more knowlegable people think of this diamond. I know that becuase its EGL its not really and F or SI1 according to GIA standard, but how does the rest of the specs make out? Price is 7,700$

Can you get the actual pavilion and crown angles? It would help.

Using the information you have, it falls into the BIC range, whic means Brilliant Ideal Cut. It should favour white light return over colored light return. The HCA estimates that it is outside of GIA and AGS Ex and Ideal range. The price for the size is good, even if the color and clarity are lower, though not if it is an I1 perhaps.

Is it eye clean? Can you get an IS image or a photo?

Ditto Dreamer, also I think this might be EGL Israel so making the sale final on the diamond checking out to your satisfaction in all aspects with an independant appraisal would be essential.

As it is said to be h&a also, if you want what would be considered a '' true'' h&a stone, then images of both hearts and arrows would be needed.

You are right! I must apologize but I received my brand new glasses yesterday which are bifocal and I must have misread, I am having a hard time getting used to them what with the various angles of the lens and strength and learning to use them! I am so used to moving my eyes when working and now I have to learn to move my head to use the specs properly to utilize the lens variations but its going to take a while!

Sorry for quick threadjack, but just some quick advice for you Lorelei about your new lenses, use your nose, just point your nose where you want to look and you should always be in the right place

Thanks Lestat! I edited as that was rather long winded and I feel a twit for misreading my post due to my new specs but thanks for the tip! They do feel funny.... the ground is too high

and when I walked out of the optical shop I ducked

....I hope I can get used to working with them, its so natural to flicker your eyes on a computer and keep the head still so I will try to remember the nose trick!

They do look kewl though.....

Check out this article on the consistency of diamond grading, both at the level of sending a diamond to different labs and sending it to the same lab twice. Interesting. This is EGL USA though, might be different for EGL Israel.
