Hello everyone!
I'm so happy I discovered this site looking for a e-ring stone. You've filled me with a wealth of knowledge, but I still lack any experience :/ I contacted an online vendor via the pricescope search. I am considering a .84 carat round for under $3,000. I've got the image, ASET image and ideal-scope scan but I'd like the forum's input!

What do you think of the stone?
.84 ct I VS2
GIA Cert 5183972047
Cut - X
Polish - X
Symmetry - X
Depth - 62.6
Table - 55.0
Crown - 36
Pavilion - 40.6
HCA 1.8 FIC
6.01-6.04 x 3.77mm
Medium Blue Florescence
Thin to medium faceted
Twinning wisp, Feather

It's confirmed eye clean and a white face-up with nice brilliance and luster per the customer service rep.
And the images...

Thanks for all your help!

Looks lovely

No worries with a medium florescence and thin to medium girdle, Neil?

the only concern I have is its a little deep. Typically I cut off at 62.4, myself, and I've seen people cut off at 62%. Looking at the idealscope I dont think it's a huge problem, and its probably priced accordingly. But it faces up about .1mm smaller than it could. Now, will she notice that on the hand?no, almost certainly not.

Thank you Niel. I hope to be moving to the 'Show Me The Bling' forum soon

I'm feeling a bit neurotic. Is the ASET showing poor light return around the bezel facets? A whole lot of green...
Or can that create a bit of desirable contrast? The actual image seems to show a bit of darkness. Diamond shopping is rating a 10 out of 10 on the hardness scale for sure.

Would PS prefer this 0.84 G SI?

Crown Angle 34.0

both diamonds are fine but would look different.
Neither one would be classified as h&a is that is important to you.
Much of what your seeing in the ASET and IS image that looks like defects is a result of them not being taken correctly and stray light is entering the scope.

Just my 2 cents, but I like a VS2 better. The inclusions in the second stone would bother me.

Thanks for the input Karl_K and Jimmianne.

Am I correct that the Hearts and Arrows designation pertains to ideal symmetry? I'm afraid with my budget, I haven't been able to give much consideration to perfect HnA stones.
