Any early pre-viewing commentary?

No previews that I''ve seen. I can''t wait to see what happens this week.

They''ve done a great job with this series.

I really hope they go over the Kate/Claire storyline.

I think that there are main characters on the island that always have to be present.

For example:

Jack may be the new Jacob.

Sawyer the new MIB.

Claire the new Rousseau.

Maybe Sayid will be the new Richard? (never gets old, never dies)

I am liking the season so far, the last 3 episodes have been great.

I did think that Fiery- are they setting up one last Jack versus Locke showdown????

Who do we think is coming that has everyone so freaked out?

So I guess my post is just all questions. Sounds about right for this show.

IF YOU HAVEN''T SEEN THIS WEEK''S LOST, DON''T READ BELOW. SPOILER ALERT!!!


On Sayid''s storyline: where the heck did Jin come from?!?!?! And I think the whole plane never landing thing might be Flocke''s fault - he promised Sayid that Nadia would be alive. He promised Claire she''d have Aaron. But at the same time, he''s promising things that aren''t his to deliver, which is why I think he''s evil (think Jesus in the desert being tempted by the devil). So unless he''s some kind of crazy genie in a bottle, I think he''s evil. I mean, really, did making a deal with the devil ever turn out the way somebody thought it would?

I think Jin was there because he''s a shady businessman and was supposed to deliver $ and the watch and work with the bad military guy from the ship that Sayid killed last night. Airport security took his $ and the watch so now he''s in trouble with the bad military guy from the ship. That''s why he was locked up and apparently beaten.

P.S. I''m wondering when Michael is going to reappear...

I agree with Thing on Jin''s appearance. I think the mystery visitor is Desmond. I don''t know why Claire wants to kill Kate. Kate annoys me. So is Sayid really possessed? One thing in the recap episode prior when they were showing Jack smash the mirrors, the subtitle blatantly said Jacob is looking for candidates To Replace Him. I must have missed where they explicitly said that before.

According to the White House''s ABC correspondant Jake Tapper, Obama allegedly asked the identity of Adam and Eve, to which Carlton replied "Good question! Have POTUS call us!"

Because Claire took Aaron. She''s been killing everybody she thought was involved with taking him.

Claire doesn''t understand that she''s been away from Aaron for 3 years. Remember that Sawyer found Aaron alone in the woods and Claire was nowhere to be found and had not been seen by anyone since then. Kate took Aaron off the island. Claire still thinks Aaron is a baby.

I don''t think they are possessed. I think its a play on the good vs evil thing and how easy it can be to be wrapped up in the evil.

Locke mentioned that Jacob wanted replacements when he was in the cave with Sawyer two episodes ago.

How about Terry O''Quinn''s acting this season! He''s been doing a fantastic job.

All I kept thinking during the fLocke/Sayid exchange and again during the Sayid/Dogen exchange was how Jacob and BSG differ in how they manipulate people.

Jacob makes deals by giving you what you always wanted, without getting to experience it (Dogen''s son, Juliet''s sister, etc.) You give your life up for your service, but he makes sure what you wanted does happen on the mainland.

However, BSG promises instant gratification of giving you what you always wanted AND letting you experience it directly. He just exacts a large toll from everyone around you.

Self-sacrifice for the benefit of others vs. instant gratification. Gee, there''s no underlying moral message here, is there?

I love this show, but seriously, a little more complexity in theme would be nice.

I am still not convinced that Flocke is "evil" though it certainly appears that way. Notice that he doesn''t actually promise anything, but says things like "What if I told you that you could have x". Interesting, no?

Also, Jacob is mighty manipulative it seems to me. Not sure which of the two will turn out to be "good".

I don''t think Kate is going to die, at least not until the penultimate or final episode. TPTB have said the ending is very "emotional" and like Kate or not, she is at the center of a lot of emotional entanglements.

Now how about Sayid and that eeeevillll look he gave to Flocke at the end???? Kate rightly had a "what the f*** is going on here" look on her face! I though Sayid was a goner for sure- mostly b/c it seems his story, especially his emotional "redemption" part is done. And we seem to lose people once that happens.

So right now there''s Jin, Sawyer, Fake Locke, Sayid, Claire and sort of Kate on one "team".

And Ileana, Sun, Lapidus, Ben and Miles on one "team".

Then you''ve got Hurley and Jack up for grabs.

Though I woudn''t say that Jin and Kate are necessarily on Team Flocke yet, at least not by choice.

Remember a "war is coming..."

They''re trapped on the island. They''re off the island. It''s the future. It''s the past. It''s the present. They''re dead. They''re alive.

Alternate universes? Heaven or Hell? Fantasy? Comas? Time travel? Monsters? Evil scientists?

There''s a reason this show is called Lost. I am.

Z- Don''t count out Sawyer yet. Theory is that he knows Fake Locke is up to something and he''s pulling a long con, which fits perfectly with his character and also with the fact that this last season is somewhat a mirror of Season 1. I think Sawyer just might save the day.

I am in mourning for my fave Sayid. Perhaps I will wear a black tank top all weekend in his honor.
