This proves I have a jewelry problem!

I admire brooches, but I hate sticking pins in any of my clothes. Do you wear pins and brooches often? If not, that just means you have even more of a jewelry problem. ;)2

@Luvallgems, I can see why you were drawn to this, it is so sweet. I love it. If you don't want to wear it, you could just leave it out as a small decoration to admire. What a day brightener.

This could be easily repurposed into a necklace pendant too!

@junebug17....I agree, it is a day brightener. Thanks!

It’s really lovely.
i would buy a small photo frame, remove the glass, and put black velvet or another colour that suits your decor into it and pin the brooch onto the velvet in the centre.
that way you have like a little “work of Art” to admire.

@Bron357....Great idea!

yes they even have little shadow boxes for that kind of thing. Great idea.

It really is like a small work of art! I think it is precious and can see why you'd be drawn to it even if you never wear it as intended. Great find!

It's cute, thanks for sharing!

I can see why you bought it, I really like it! I love these kinds of interesting pieces.

My gosh this is wonderful, love that brooch!

You can do so much with them, pin them on a jacket or sweater (no worries about holes depending on the fabric) or pin on a bag or hat. I love mine and wear them often.

That brooch is adorable - I'm not surprised you couldn't resist it!

@StephanieLynn.....I feel better now! Thanks

Oh I love it @Luvallgems ❤️❤️❤️ Enjoy in good health and blingy happiness. You’re among your people here ❤️

That is the cutest thing ever! I can see how you couldn't resist.
The pearl 'eggs' are so charming!

YouTube how to wear pins, there might be some thoughts on how to wear them that you would like/not damage your clothes? I've seen them used on wooly scarves overtop sweaters too. It's a really lovely piece IMO. Nice!

@Begonia .....Thanks, I will take a peek.

@stracci2000.....Thanks, I’m thinking 1950’s, 60’s....You are the expert, idea?

Haha, I'm no expert, just a long time lover of jewelry!
But I would agree with you that it is 50's-60's. It would be so perfect on the collar of a black coat or blazer!

I am now sporting a pin I bought 30 years ago that I never wore. It is a faux pearl and diamond leafy design. I think it is an age thing. I loved it when I bought it but no one was wearing pins/brooches. Makes me want to dig out some old stuff of my Mom's.....
