This medication may change the way I fit in my dress

Sorry,I know I had another topic today as well, but I just found this out.

So I have had my dress awhile and it fits pretty much perfectly, except for some minor alterations.

Well I was put on a medication today where apparently the common side effects are:

1) losing weight (because it''s a diuretic)
2) makes your boobs bigger

I''m not that concerned about losing weight, because they can always take my dress in.

I am concerned though that my boob are already a C almost a D,and I can already fill out my dress well,it''s a sweetheart neckline. You can definitely get to the point of spilling over.

The change wouldn''t be over night, but I''m wondering if anyone else had something involving a drastic body change with their wedding dress. Is there a way to make the top bigger in a dress?

I promise I''m not freaking out,I''m just curious just in case.I''ve found a backup bolero that would cover the sweetheart neckline just in case I end up being Va-va-voom! lol.I''d prefer not to have to wear it though.I am also only a 6/8 and 5''7",so being bustier while dropping some weight, might make me look alot more curvy then expected.

With regards to the medication, remember that side effects don''t always happen to EVERYONE (even if they are common). So, you may not experience the side effects at all. It''s good that you are aware of them, but don''t freak out yet.

If the weight loss is truly due to diuresis (and not changes in metabolism or decreased appetite), you will be losing water weight, not fat weight. Besides bloating, I don''t think it would noticeably change the shape of your body by all that much.

I would say the same is true with breast enlargement. If there were a pill that really made girls "va va voom" it would be a miracle, and I would take it :) Your breasts may get larger, but I wouldn''t think it would be drastic enough to "spill out". I''m sure a good seamstress could make the top bigger though, if you need it.

How far out is your wedding?

When is your wedding date and when will you start taking the medication?

Perhaps you won''t experience all of the side effects so this won''t be an issue. Even if you get bigger on top, the seams can probably be let out a little. Otherwise, the tailor/seamstress may be able to add features to the dress to accommodate an increase in size.

What medication is that? I think I want some just FOR the side effects!!

On a serious note, I think you should be fine. Like others said, if it really made a huge change in breast size, almost every girl would be on it! But nonetheless, if you find that you have problems when the time comes, consider having a "fan" of fabric put in to make the sweetheart neckline more modest. One of my friends did that because she fell in love with a dress with a sweetheart neckline and she is well endowed but it turned out beautifully and actually looked like it was meant to be there!

I think I know what med you are talking about. I am on a med that has similar properties. My chest got a tad larger and my FI noticed, but my bra side did not change. There is not enough of a dieuretic to loose weight in the med I am on, so that is not an issue.

I would not worry about it. Any med that causes a significant enough change to enhance the bust by a bra size would be a VERY popular drug. I can''t think of one.
