This guy "proposed" to his girlfriend for a whole month without her knowing!

Too cute! He must be so fun:mrgreen2:

This is a great proposal story ... thanks for posting the link!

Awww, who says romance is dead?!

DK :))

That's amazing!

And I only remember this because we got married four months prior to this news story, so I was still on the wedding boards and read it... and then proceeded to give my husband a hard time about his proposal in comparison

So cute.
There was also another proposal story I remember. A guy from Tasmania. The guy put the ring into a wooden pendant that he’d made and his girlfriend wore it around her neck for a whole year. When he finally proposed, he took the pendant and “cracked it open” to reveal the ring.
Apparently at some time during the “pendant wearing time” she misplaced it and he was having a silent nervous breakdown until it was found again.

That is so sweet. Maybe next time the guy should just use the wedding band though. That would have been awful if she had lost it :eek2:

Oh I forgot all about that guy with the necklace! Poor guy, can't imagine how he felt when the necklace went missing :eek2:

what a hard case
he must be so much fun to live with

Some of you obviously think of this as romantic, but to me it strikes me as teasing and withholding and him enjoying his own joke. He said he would basically keep doing it until he got caught. Rather be with a guy who couldn't wait to propose to me and show me the ring.

I do think the pendant idea is funnier (and better)

@partgypsy That's what I get for not even reading the article lol.

Yes, I agree. When I first read this, I was annoyed for the young lady.
She should have been livid after discovering that he was dangling that ring over her head and taking photos while she was asleep. And even placing it in her hand while she slept! Taking photos of the ring while she had her back turned. What a jerk.

Good! I'm not crazy for thinking this is jerkish behavior!

I will say- some people have different relationship dynamics; she may have thought the entire thing was as funny as he did.

That's my thought @Wewechew, I can say if this had been my DH I would have found it funny and be amazed that he pulled it off. I'm sure if he knew she would be upset he wouldn't have done it.

I blame influencer culture for stunts like this--people are premeditating things like this with every intention of it going viral. And fine, maybe that's the world we live in now, but if someone spent a whole month literally hiding something from me it would make me REALLY wonder what else he was hiding since it was obviously pretty easy for him to keep it from me. What's he going to have control over next, you know? Take her urine and withhold the pregnancy test? (yes, this has been done before and a couple "went viral" over it). Seems like things like this are widely accepted by a certain segment of the American population, but for me? No, thanks. I'm just not that thirsty.
