This diamond, which the seller claims it is real -I hope so!- what is its actual value?

Or do you think it is very horrible and it is worth less than what was paid? Or that it is fake?

I know that buying on ebay is like playing roulette. I wait your opinion. Thank you.

I mean, was that a bad deal or a good deal? Was it sold cheaply or expensively? What is its real value?

There is no "real" value.

A diamond may list for $10,000 at Tiffany on Fifth Ave. NY.
The exact same diamond may list for $8,000 at a less-expensive and less-prestigious jewelry store, and less online.
It may actually sell for less than what it lists for if the buyer is a good negotiator.

If that buyer wants to turn around and sell it he may consign it at jewelry store X and receive perhaps $5000, but must wait till it sells.
If he wants his cash immediately and sells it to that same jewelry store he'll get less.
If he takes it to a pawn shop with high rent in Manhattan NY he'll get less than that.
If he takes it to a pawn shop with low rent in Detroit, he'll get even less.

So tell me.
What is the "real" value of that diamond?

Real value is a myth.
Yet again and again we hear people ask this question, "What is the "real" value of this diamond?"

In this case we don't even know if it is a natural or man made diamond or if it is a diamond at all.
That's what an independent lab report is for.
An independent lab decides on authenticity and assigns grades to color, clarity, weight etc.
This service costs much more than you paid for this stone.

If you care to obtain diamonds you are certain are real, let alone possessing good qualities you have to come up with a lot more money.
I'd say don't waste your time pursuing unanswerable questions.
Just enjoy your adventure and the mystery of your stone.

It's a small cloudy diamond. The price is whatever they can get an uneducated sucker to buy it at. Sorry, but true.

Wow, you are so kind...

I was going for a little virtual tap to your head to wake you up so you don't continue to waste your money on junk. I consider that a kindness. Hopefully you got the message and have learned your lesson.

What were you planning to do with it?
