Hi all!

My seventh wedding anniversary is in a week and I'd like either an eternity or seven stone diamond band this year. It doesn't escape me that a seven stone band would have some meaning on our seventh anniversary! I do love step cuts and french cuts so I've been searching around trying to find something that goes with my emerald cut three-stone e-ring. I originally wanted the JBEG Elyse but they don't make it anymore. I'm trying to decide if this french cut eternity band (H/I, 3.56cts, 3.9mm wide) is too much for my e-ring (E, 2.55ct center, 8.73mm x 6.76mm with .70ct sides). Here are some shots - one is how I normally wear the e-ring and the other is with a potential french cut eternity band. Opinions please!

I think it's too much with your beautiful ring. I'm sure there are a lot of blingy eternity bands (or semi-eternity bands) that would not compete with your e-ring.

Love your 3 stone! Do you have a profile shot?

How about this one:

This one is about 3mm which may be better proportioned to your ring.

Oh my gosh, that is the most beautiful band!   I need one of those!!!!

I think something with step cuts in the band would be best with your ring, though.

These may not be what you want or your size, but they are new and incredible buys from a high end jeweler:

Id go with one 2.5-3mm. Something closer to the width of your ering shank at the top and sides.

You could also do a contour band on each side. It may also sit flush as well.

I agree with you guys . . . a 2.5 - 3mm band would work best. That's what I've been looking for, but I just love this particular band. And the high crowns on the frenchies! What if I had these stones prong-set?

I'm not sure what a contour band is. Do you have an example? My imagination is not the best, so I'd love some pictures. Thanks!

Since I am in the trade, I cannot post photos, but you can do a search maybe. I've seen alot of them in Costar and True Romance.

You have a killer ering, Mikla!!! WOW!

I think the band you posted with the french cuts is gorgeous - but it seems too big to work along with your ering. Could you wear it as a RHR?

If you want to wear an eternity with your setting, I like either of the 2 that DS posted from eBay - the kwait baguette/RB options. Slim enough to be a supporting character, not try to steal the show from the star!

Yeah, I thought of that, but this particular ring cannot be sized and my right hand ring finger is a 1/2 size bigger than my left. Damn!

Thank you for the compliments on my e-ring. When we were going to get engaged, I let my SO know that I liked the three-stone emerald cut style. He went out and did all the rest. Hubby did good!

I really don't want any rounds in the eternity band, though for some reason, I was totally in love with the Elyse which had bezeled rounds with the rectangular (and thinner) french cuts they used. Plus I totally loved the name Elyse. Go figure.

What would you guys think of frenchies of the same size, but instead of channel set, prong set as a seven stone ring? Still too big?

Thanks for everyone's input so far!

SOLD!!! ADD TO CART!!! that sounds awesome - holy schmoly that would be AMAZING! !! And knowing your hubby killed it the first time around with your ering --- I'd let him run with that idea! :Up_to_something: :naughty: :Up_to_something: His love knows no bounds... and thankfully, neither does his credit card!

Oh that looks beautiful, Mikla! What are the dimensions on those stones? Do you have an idea of the mm height?
(its gorgeous!!!)

It's over 4 carats at a size 6, so it'll be too wide for me, and too small at the same time. I posted it because it's the first time I had seen french cuts in a prong set band vs. bezeled or channel set. You'd definitely need some well proportioned stones to make it work.

I agree - it would need to be proportioned to suit your hand/ring, but it would be a wonderful compliment to your setting. I love the step cut style stones better than round, for your ering.

Have you contacted any of the PS vendors to see what they could do for you? Give them your dimensions, requests and budget and see what they could recommend. Sounds very exciting!

Mikla, just wanted to say your e-ring is swoon worthy...I love emerald cut 3 stones!

Thanks! My husband didn't know about PriceScope so it's amazing it turned out as well as it did.

Last night, I bought this 3mm platinum ruby and diamond band to try with my e-ring from Oak Gem on eBay. Not that it's my Holy Grail or anything, but so I could see how an Elyse-type band would look, in case I decide to have one made (I know, I know, they've discontinued it so it would have to be custom). And because I think it's really cute! So the search continues . . .

That's a beautiful band! I hope you like it - and if it doesn't work with your ering, then you have something really cool to start a set of stacking bands for your RH! (oh ---- did you not know you were starting a set of stacking bands??? Yeah - you are!!! :wink2: :naughty: )

Well, I'm still open to suggestions for a step-cut, 3mm diamond band. That seems to be the consensus of the group so far!

There are a few Tiffany baguette rings on eBay right now (not in my size), but what do you think of this idea?

IMO, those are the perfect style to suit your ering. That would be EXACTLY the direction I would go and the lovely pink band above would head to your RH.

Just my thoughts....

I think that baguette ring, or a similar ring set with square-cuts of some sort, would be perfect.

I love the eternity ring you started the thread with  , just not to go wear alongside your engagement ring.

I vote for something like the Tiff baguette you pictured - perfect compliment and does NOT compete.

I love that bottom tiffany baguette band that you suggested. That would go PERFECT with your beautiful ering imho.
