I absolutely love a pendant my boyfriend gave me, but unfortunately the melee are poorly cut and don't sparkle very much. I'm thinking about trying to get the stones replaced since I really like the design/setting. About how much would it cost to get the the 19 tiny stones replaced? I'm guessing they are probably 1-2 pointers.

I've attached an awful picture of the pendant that I just took (none of the closer ones turned out).

for what it would cost you could buy 2 of those pendants.
The diamond cost arent a problem the labor cost is.
They are either machine assembled or made using 3rd world labor and it would cost considerable more to have it done in the US.
add in that the metal is usualy pretty thin on them and it becomes impractical.

Awww, that's too bad. I'm really sentimental about the pendant and I love wearing it everyday. Too bad my b/f didn't know much about diamonds when he bought it.

If that''s the only piece of jewelry you ever say that about, consider yourself a lucky girl.

Wear that baby and enjoy it for its sentimentality.

yep i agree it costs more than just the diamonds...

i have seen pendants like that around on the web i am sure...take a peek around.

good luck.

I would continue to love and wear this pendant even if it doesn''t have the best quality diamonds in it. It is the sentimental value of the piece that really makes it worth everything to you.

Instead, he could buy you another piece of jewelry in the future (with the help of your diamond knowledge of course!). Maybe not another necklace, but maybe diamond earrings, or a RHR, or a bracelet. You get the idea. I''m not suggesting that you guys try to replace the necklace, but instead, just supplement it with another piece of jewelry!!
