According to The Motley Fool''s article Trumped at the Altar

"Mosaic was able to send out an email to 23,000 recently registered brides-to-be from TheKnot.com."

I guess these brides-to-be didn''t mind and opted "to receive additional information from select wedding-related companies" when registered at TheKnot.com

Yeah that was on the apprentice - I am on theknot.com mailing list.. they send out stuff from bridal shops and trunk shows occasionally. It WAS wedding dress related. I don''t think its that outrageous.. and there IS an opt-out I''m sure.
