As a book lover who lives in KC (well, for one more month), I have to go with the KC Public Library! I actually go to a different library though, as it's more convenient to where I live.

The so-called Bullet Building, the Agbar Tower in Barcelona, is quite well-known for obvious reasons (the locals call it "el supositorio").

I like the library, but my favorite is the Philharmonic building in Germany. It looks like something out of a sci-fi book.
