Cheeto? grade school anyone?
No computer is 100% safe is absolutely true.
There is old saying the only safe computer is when it is incinerated and the ashes dumped into the deepest parts of the ocean.
Over all, done properly couriers probably are safer.

The same polls that said Trump cant win and the dems were going to sweep the election?

In some ways I agree that Assange is more reliable than US Intel in some areas.

Great Mr Obama don't do what is best for the people, play politics instead.

Does anyone think that really Trump cares what the press says about him?
They have made themselves irrelevant.

IMO, Obama in the last month or so has been more concerned about his so called legacy than doing what is right.

as my son says "Whaaaaat"?

I would think you mean the mainstream press - to you - is irrelevant. To me it's relevant, but one should read other sources too.

I don't care what Cheeto thinks about the press or me, I do care what Cheeto's does to take away my rights and I will continue to fund and write letters to ensure my rights are not infringed on (and Cheeto may be grade school but it's accurate).

I find it astounding that someone would find Assange more reliable, you would take the word of an accused rapist, hiding out in London? I mean if he's not guilty, come out there Julian.. that you would consider this guy, who released information from an unnamed source (the russians by way of an intermediary probably). What's in it for Assange? What kind of thoughts were being passed around the RNC? I'd like to know, but that may have hurt Trump and Julian is hoping for a Trump reprieve. (probably get it, I mean Trump could care less about his own people (CIA, FBI)..

Obama did a lot for the people, but it's true, he cared much more for the poor than the rich..

You are trying to normalize Trump.. it cannot happen. No computer is totally safe, but isn't it interesting that the Russians were never able to hack HRC's system? America's top computer(s) have been compromised by Russians and you think it may not be true? SMH.

Maybe the polls were screwed up by the Russians? Maybe voting machine's were tampered with? how do we know for sure? But basically people lied on polls (no worries it's their right to).. and I doubt machine's were tampered with. But it COULD have happened.. When we start to believe people like Assange over our own government we are in trouble.

He's obsessed with it, actually. Apparently he watches TV news pretty much every sitting moment. If you think he didn't care, why would he complain about it constantly? He doesn't like that they don't only report the good, as Dear Leaders want. What should scare you is that he doesn't care about what you think. He doesn't keep promises, he's for everything and then against it and then for it again with the flip of a switch. He's beholden to himself and whoever he's in debt to, and maybe some others with $$$. Not the kind of money most around here, even part of a diamond site, has.

A free press is ESSENTIAL to a functioning democracy. Doesn't matter if a not insignificant chunk of the population has decided that any media that isn't their sliver of conservative media is lying to them. It's scary (esp. as the PEOTUS pretends to be one of them), but said press has to keep on keepin' on.

I much prefer "Oompah Loompah" to "Cheeto." Roald Dahl would've had a heyday with Trump.

I never get called for them and wouldn't pick up if I did, but a friend of mine does a lot and he likes messing with them.
I don't think he has ever given them a truthful answer.
Yet the polls are "scientific". ROFL
But that was not the biggest issue with the polls.
It was who they were polling and the arrogance to think they know who represents the rest of the people.

There is no media that does not slant and lie these days.
I do not need the media to tell me what a press release or a twitter post said.
I can read it for myself if I happen to care.
I would not call it an insignificant chunk either.
Like those that didn't like Hillary there are far more of them out there than most think.

If you read it again, I said NOT insignificant chunk (apologies for the double negative). That's what makes it so scary. There's a significant chunk of people who believe Hillary was part of a pedophile ring out of a pizza parlor. Feelings over fact seem to be the thing, these days. Confirmation bias. People are co-opting the term "fake news" to mean "news I don't like." It's becoming a HUGE problem, and our PEOTUS is fanning those flames.

Well, yeah...but she actually killed Vince Foster.

At the risk of getting a few around here upset, I'll add that a significant chunk of the significant chunk I mentioned before is "poorly educated" (to use Trump's words) and isolated from any real diversity, and it is irresponsible to lead these people (anyone, really) to distrust everything around them but a few choice news outlets and, of course, Dear Leader. It is STRAIGHT out of the authoritarian playbook.

Anyone that disagrees with you must be uneducated and not smart?
Oh really? hmm that is not the case from the small sample of them that I know.
Could that be liberal arrogance showing?

Poorly educated as in not having gone to college?

You mean those who might have had to end their education early when the bread winner in their family died and now it was up to them to support their family?

Well I will put my money on those living in the middle of our country, who may not be the most book educated but when it comes to taking care of business and being self sufficient are way ahead of some of the college educated cry babies on the two coasts who can barely survive without their p lay dough and safe rooms.

And she killed him while in a fox hole in Benghazi, wearing a chic camo pantsuit, using the Tardis to time-travel and she met herself on the way back and created a temporal paradox that trapped Congress into investigating her for TWO YEARS.

Of course not, and you know it. You'll notice I didn't specify party identification when talking about believing the pizza parlor conspiracy. Only trusting a small sliver of what confirms one's narrative is a big problem no matter *who* one voted for or what they believe. But, like it or not, education level is a demographic factor.

Mine was "liberal arrogance"-- what's hers called?

The truth based on news reports the day after Trump was elected. And observing how some of you all having been coping lately.

Oh, because conservatives were so graceful and accepting throughout Obama's presidency. If we're generalizing.

One can take care of business, be self-sufficient and cope with disappointment simultaneously, you know. :cheeky: That's what venting is for.

People are gullible no matter their level of education or where they live. The pizza parlor example is a good example, as is the birthers, those who thought Obamacare freed the way for old people to be killed, and let's not forget the "Obama's gonna take our guns" crowd.

This was the most ridiculous picture I have ever seen released by the president. What is he trying to accomplish? Seriously?

This was a picture of him skeet shooting during a retreat at Camp David, Aug. 2012. Republicans at the time were skeptical that he's a skeet shooter and thought the photo was released to try to soften the message of Obama's gun control stance. Using a gun to shoot skeet is tame compared to Machine Gun Bacon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EaZGaJrd3x8

A very close race between Carter and Obama... :wink2: They are still fighting over each other for the title of ...the worst post WWII President.
