Welcome to a new year of salacious, scandalous, sanctimonious, sarcastic news from the Cheeto of the US and his administration, primarily brought to you by Redwoods favorite news source -- Huffington Post -- as well as other various and sundry left leaning journalists :naughty:

Majority of Americans Think Trump Is a Putz
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/americans-lack-confidence-in-trump_us_586a8081e4b0de3a08f91111

Trump: I know more than you know and more than all the intelligence agencies in the world know. Tune in Tuesday or Wednesday for the real facts, unless I change my mind. (I actually think he does know more, because he's a Russian spy and hearing it straight from Vlad's lips.)

LOL -- "What the hell could possibly go wrong" indeed!!!

I enjoy your daily Trumpets Matata!

But none of that matters because ...

1. I didn't vote for him.
2. Hillary is a liar.

:wall: :wall: :wall:

The only think I'm looking forward to is 4 years of Trumpets!

Yes Trump does want to change social security and medicare (plus the other 'entitlements' as they put it) Watch the magic that republicans will try to pull saying on the one hand we aren't cutting! when they are.. sort of like their "if we cut taxes on the rich it will stimulate the economy" rhetoric.

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/dec/28/bernie-sanders-democrats-call-rallies-protest-gop-/

Could one of the resident conservative republicans on Pricescop explain how the Republican plan will help the middle class to me? So we are going to give our seniors a stipend and say "go off old lady and buy health insurance on the open market!" (like we all know how many insurance companies want old people? or sick people? (clue: none)) don't you just love that free market! it's like the republican "right to work" code word for right to get fired for no reason, whatsoever... and Cheeto is the equivalent of a doorknob, he's surrounded himself with the swamp of uber nutcases and UBER rich people. Well, won't it be a surprise for an old guy in Montana who has to pay 10K a year of his own money (which he doesn't have) to 'assist' his cheap a@@ stipend from crazy a@@ Paul Ryan? should be fun and games...

The same polls that said Trump cant win?
Anyone who puts faith in polls hasn't been paying attention.

The same "intelligence" agencies that missed the Berlin wall falling, ISIS and WMDs being removed?
The same "intelligence" agencies that have toppled dozens of elected governments around the world?
The same "intelligence" agencies that lied about violating the law and spying on Americans?
The same "intelligence" agencies who have interfered with elections all over the world?

A lot of things are clearly not working and need to be changed, everyone knows it but the democrats did not have the guts to do anything about it. I highly doubt the republicans will either.
A lot of things can change between a proposal and a law.

Why would anyone listen to anything McCain who is jealous because he did not win his presidential election says?

Yawn how boring, another thread full of liberal propaganda.
How much further is politics going to ruin this once great forum before it is stopped?

I did not vote for him because I did not agree with his policies.

But since he is going to be President, I am not going to kvetch and bellyache even before he takes office.

And Hillary is a liar, which is why we have Trump as our next President.

And I wonder if this was Obama how many here would be calling us racist or whatever by not even giving him the benefit of at least the first 100 days in office.

But if you all want to blame someone for Trump being our next President blame the Democrats for not picking a better candidate than Hillary.

And now Obama is campaigning to keep ObamaCare alive. Is it because it was good policy or is all he is concerned about is his legacy?
8 years with Obama followed by even more of it with Hillary, many have had enough.

Trump MIGHT be a disaster. But Obama WAS a disaster.

At least it trumps being a blowhard.

I wonder if some here are going to need to be sedated because as Trumps's election comes closer I see heads spinning around in circles belching any rhetoric they can scrounge up, no matter how unproven it is.

It's like being a suffragette but instead of fighting for causes that matter you can cry about the "liberal agenda" all day while you surf QVC for deals.

Gerrymandering in southern states by republicans.

Weren't the republicans very professional when Obama nominated an intelligent, well educated jurist for the Supreme court? shows you what republicans are made of.

This is basically a subthread in a subthread. I think Pricescope is safe.

Now your nonsense above is all from people who would rather believe they won on their merits (or lack of them) versus the fact that the Russians are known hackers and have interfered in countries around the world. What would it take for the fake news sites to really print the truth? Not sure but their agenda is certainly obvious.. It's all about the rich. The right wing propaganda is ruining America.

I could shut that statement down real quick, but I think I've done enough dumpster diving for tonight.

I'm almost afraid to click that NY times article...

Will wait with bated breath for tomorrow's installment Matata.

She still won't be on the podium on the 20th. :appl:

I believe I posted somewhere on Pricescope about the CNA (certified nurse's aide) currently caring for my father who lost her state medical insurance because she is earning too much ($15,000 a year, I believe). She and I just watched "Sicko" together. I had seen it before. I was struck again by how totally reasonable the single payer system is and how well it works in civilized countries like Canada; Great Britain; and France. Anyone who hasn't seen it should see it immediately.

If I am remembering correctly there was a female poster who used to post here who was from Canada.

She suspected she might have cancer and she reported it took a long time for her to be able to get an appointment to be seen by a doctor.

We had family friends in Germany and the husband came to Louisville, KY for a quadruple bypass for which he had to pay out of pocket. His wait for surgery in Germany was going to be at least 12 months. My mother flew back to stay with them for the surgery and recovery because the wife spoke about 3 words of English.

No, because Americans are idiots. Today I decided that if the Americans want to win back the presidency, they should run Oprah Winfrey as the democratic candidate for president in 2020. She is the only one who can beat Trump with the current crowd of simpleton American voters. She has wide recognition among television viewers and is popular. She is also trusted as a savvy businesswoman who could run the country because she made herself her own empire. Clearly she is qualified to run the US and be Commander-in-Chief.

I am actually serious that The Democrats should chase her down even though I am enormously cynical about how low we have fallen that we must, now, find television show hosts if we want to run successful presidential candidates.

"Sicko" didn't show Germany. France and England and Canada had great systems. Also Cuba. Watch the movie. My sister-in-law got quick, free care in (surgery in) Israel, too. In the past couple of years.
