I can't believe we have to hear his speeches for the next 4 years. He is such an embarrassment.

I am glad I don't have to listen to Obama any longer. :D

I was going to say that I concur, but then I thought about it. I actually find that I am not listening to him anymore. I was riveted by him during the campaign because I wanted to hear what crazy thing he would say next. Now that he has said everything he possibly could and has been elected anyway, I find that I no longer care to catalogue his inanities. Since no one cares how weird, inappropriate, bizarre, or psychopathic he is, why should I bother to pay attention to the minutiae of his thought processes?

I have tuned him out. But I give lots of money to those who fight him.

I know you are 100% correct Deb. I wish I could just walk away from this train wreck and not listen to another word he says. It would be good for my health.

I wasn't comparing them. One is a smooth orator and the other is a bumbling fool. Hopefully the bumbling fool will do a bang up job at getting the economy moving at a faster than glacial pace.

I am glad to hear you recognize Trump for what he is. In return I will acknowledge that weird phenomena occur in the universe, and it is possible that on Trump's watch, no matter how little it may reflect on his virtue, the economy may improve. (H*ll may freeze over, too. One cannot predict these things.) I do want to ask you, however, if there is anything in Trump's background, education, or character which has made you feel at all sanguine that he will play a positive role in improving the economy or whether you are simply hopeful because you do not wish to despair.

I have already said many times what I think of Trump, for months now Deb. I choose to be hopeful because I WILL NOT despair. As I have already said, what good does that do? My health is much more important than worrying over things outside my control. Especially over politics. These are selfish reasons and not sanguine. By now you might realize, as I do, that I am mostly Choleric with occasional Sanguine episodes if I am in a good mood.

Edit - Your reference to sanguine is not in the same vein as mine. I find the temperament system interesting.

Redwood, the bumbling fool will certainly move and shake and make things appear to be moving and shaking right quick...for the short term.

Meanwhile, many of us are worried. Because the conservatives are merely concerned with LETS MAKE JOBS AND LETS MAKE MONEY AND LETS FIX MURICA. While everyone else has been slowly and steadily working towards the same goal...slowly, and with the bigger picture in mind.

But yeah. We'll try it your* way. Which is undoing everything, starting over, forcing shit through, and hey--we'll throw spaghetti at the wall and see if it sticks.

*anyone but any particular PSr.

Obama had 8 years to do it his way. How much longer do you think the middle class could have lasted?

The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. That is why Hillary lost.
And it is why if it does not work, then you undo it and start over. Yes, some policies will work, others will not, but you have to try.

You will never be successful if you just stand there and do nothing.

That is how it seems to work in politics. One group gets a try then the other. Been happening for quite awhile now. You shouldn't be so surprised.
