Come on, I know I'm not the only one who plays......fess up. And if you don't, I'll really feel like a loser :D

Oh, I freaking LOVE The Sims!!!! My sister and I were just talking about it a couple weeks ago. She's 20 and I'm 28 and we haven't played in YEARS. So she came to visit me for a couple days and the very first night she was here, we went to Best Buy to get our own copies of The Sims 3.

We were standing in the computer game aisle and just as this really, really good looking guy her age rounds the corner, I just happened to say "I'm sure we can look up the cheats online!" Talk about killing any chances she ever could have had with him! I'm a horrible wingman!

Anyway, The Sims is awesome! I try not to let myself play too much or I spend about 18 hours sitting at my computer, unable to move until my sim gets the next promotion.

hahahahahahaha love it!! so funny because anytime I go to buy an expansion pack at best buy for the game, I try to be as shady as possible about it and I find myself trying to rush the cashier so I can get outta there...hahahahah.

I bought the "ambitions" expansion pack the other day...and lets just say I spent the entire day playing it yesterday, since ya know, I don't have other important things to do :nono:

I started playing when it first came out..I'm in love.

did you ever play The Sims Online? I loved it!!! I'm still bitter that it was a failure for EA Games :angryfire:

I really like the Sims and have owned each version, but I feel like I'm getting more bored with each one :(sad I got a new laptop that's able to run Simes 3, so I got the game and played it for about 2 weeks - now I don't play it anymore. Though I tend to do that with video games in general - I wish DH would care about the game and build it up with me (maybe play different houses in the game while I'm not playing?). I think that would hold my interest more, but playing by myself I get bored.

I get bored of it too sometimes but for some reason I think its because I don't know enough about the possibilities that the game offers, if that makes any sense. The expansion packs definitely make it more interesting and the newest one that is coming out, "Late Night" should be really cool.

OMG, I LOVE the Sims!!! Especially Sims 2. I honestly didn't see what the big deal was until I played it for the first time last summer. I was so addicted that I'd play for 12 hrs straight, eat, go the bathroom, play for another 12 hrs, eat, go to the bathroom and crash. Then I'd wake up and play again. I even started seeing + and - signs when I talked to people. Hahaa!!! I could literally feel my needs bars going up or down. Who would have thought creating your own little people and their little houses can be so much fun? I became really attached to my characters, they seemed so real! I bought all of the Expansion Packs for Sims 2.

I bought Sims 3, but I just couldn't get into the characters. They don't have the same personality as Sims 2. I tried playing it for a week, even bought some expansion packs, but grew bored quickly. If they replaced the Sims 3 characters with the ones from Sims 2, then it would be perfect!

I still play Sims 2 now, especially when I need to unwind after a tiring day at work. It's like the perfect getaway from it all. And designing the houses is soo much fun! I've built many dream beach houses and wished I lived there.

Hopefully they'll do better when Sims 4 comes out. Seriously, this is the only game I play now. I even bought a new desktop just so it can accomodate the Sims. LOL!

It got to the point where I could play 6 hours at a time and not even notice 6 hours passed... so I am on a break... I should start again.

Hahaaa!!! I know what you mean, its like reading a really good book. You can't put it down until you know what's going to happen! And don't you hate it when you create the perfect "couple", but they end up flirting with someone else? Or you can't figure out a way for them to meet in the neighborhood? It's like..hello, the man of your dreams is next door and you just need to meet!

I go all the way back to the Sim City days.

That happened to me yesterday =X

I went to my basement and it was around 3:30 PM and next thing I knew it was 12:30 AM....oops.

My college roommate and I played all the time in college. If one of us was standing in a doorway, the other one would put her hands up in the air and shrug while shaking her head from side to side. Can anyone picture what I mean?

hahaha!

The Sims are the best and crazy addicting!

My sister and I also do the little motions that they do (Flailing arms when someone is in the way, saying our Diamond is yellow or red when we are hungry or tired or whatever).

We are nerds about that game.....

I haven't played in about 2 months though---I get too addicted and have to take breaks.

Sims 2 was the best---I'm not a huge fan of Sims 3 just yet.

:naughty:

Did you ever make good-looking Sims and had a semi-crush on him? I had like the biggest crush on my character "Brad", and noone ever seemed good enough for him. I know, sick, right? LOL!

Hahaaa...yeah I know what you mean. Or someone will be using a computer and they wave their hand around like "Somethings in the way!" But they don't see the available computer next to them.

Absolutely, except I've been very into making hot females and even though I'm straight....I crush on them! hahahah

I love the Sims!!! I play when I should really be studying. I love that you can just do whatever you want (sorta aimlessly) and I love decorating my houses. Hmmm I should play soon, it's been a while. I remember playing Sim City too, and I was just as addicted to that. The traffic complaints and fires....it was a simpler time.

Haha this thread rocks. Yes I used to LOOOOVE the Sims. My current lap top can't run the game though so I haven't played in a few years. One of my friends recently made a house with all of our friends as characters, it was hilarious.
