So exciting! The BF picked up the rock yesterday and I spent this morning trying to get some arrows shots. Turns out since I don't have a macro lens, my SLR is useless for diamond pics... had to break out the old point&shoot!

Special thanks to Gypsy, Neil, TexasLeaguer, and Karl_K for helping here at RockyTalky. And the ladies over at Show Me Your Bling for helping me out with deciding on an H! In one situation I barely noticed a warm color, blinked, then couldn't see it again!

Specs:
$8,800
1.22 H VS2 AGS0
HCA 1.5
Light Return: Excellent
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Very Good
Spread: Very Good
Girdle: 1.0% to 3.5%

IdealScope:

So, is it a keeper?

Looks like perfection . Are you sending it back to JA for setting?

Looks pretty to me! G-H is a sweet spot for color for many folks. Can't wait to see it set! :wavey:

Whoo-hoo!

We're planning on doing a setting at a local B&M store. Already picked out the Danhov CL140, a cathedral solitaire with petal prongs. The local jeweler is ordering a modified version, with 6 prongs instead of 8, and set a bit higher so cleaning the diamond will be easier. JA didn't offer this modification when I asked.

Cool they could modify it! Make sure to insure it sense you're using two different vendors

Yea I read that JM offers insurance for loose stones, just gets complicated if I need the policy ASAP and if the policy changes after the ring is complete. Gotta call them next week during their business hours.

Beautiful! Your pics are great :) Can't wait to see your ring!!!

Beautiful stone! Can't wait to see pictures of it set - the setting is gorgeous!

That is a stunning stone and setting - I can't wait to see it as well!!!

Beautiful stone!

Thank you everyone for your support! After admiring it all weekend, we decided to keep it after all!
Can't wait to transition over to the Bling forum after it's all set and done!

What a beautiful setting you've chosen - I love it  The diamond is lovely too! Great choices.

Today I took advantage of the sunny weather by going outside to subject the rock to more vigorous staring in various lighting situations. We've been very careful with handling it, but it's still accumulated a bit of stuff. My digicam is pink, I did not purchase a pink diamond

Image #2: direct sunlight... FIRE!

Image #3: diffuse daylight (white printer paper backdrop)
Although this is supposed to be the most strict testing environment, I could only see the warmness in the pictures, not with the naked eye. Earlier today I had a miniature heart attack when I saw a green/yellowish tint when viewing it at a 45 deg angle, but then realized that it was just the room (prior owner was a Seahawks fan and painted the window ledges teal, the combination of that color and the cream walls have that effect on the lighting... *shudder* If I were a DIY girl I'd have repainted it)
