After a long absence, I am back! I know you all missed me terribly (with the possible exception of those who knew me before and those who have no idea who I am).

Anyway, I''m back and I have been doing a lot of cutting. Now I just have to get my camera fixed up so I can post some pictures. In the meantime, its great to see all the oldtimers (this is NOT, I repeat NOT a comment on your ages.....) like Chrono and Freke.

Hi Lucky,

I don''t have a site up and running right now but I plan to in mid March. In the meantime, I am going to try to get on the vendors list for the forum.

I am a complete and utter gem junkie so it is really hard for me to part with the stones I cut but at some point, I either have to sell some of them or start charging them rent.

I hang out here cause I love seeing all the stones you guys get your hands on. Not to mention, it''s nice to be in a place where your obsessions are understood!

Great to see you! I have to say, I have missed the lot of you.

Since last we met, the company I was working for closed its doors. I started my own graphic design and printing company called ScreamGraphics and I have been surprisingly successful, even in the terrible economy.

However, my first love is stones and I am working on a couple of things that will (hopefully) allow me to do the gem thing full time. I want to be able to travel around the world buying rough and cutting really fine stones and selling gem rough.

Can you imagin it? Hanging out in the gem markets in Chanthaburi, going to the mining districts in Nigeria, buying from mine owners in Brazil. I''m getting all worked up just thinking about it!

Actually, I got in another parcel of sphene and I am working on cutting some now. I am also working on a parcel of Nigerian spessartite and....(get ready for it)....a REALLY nice parcel of aqua from Nigeria. One of the pieces of rough in the parcel will cut a flawless stone around 25 carats! MMMMMM. I''m gonna name it Smuckers cause with a name like that...

For all you "foreigners" (yeah, I saw that thread), Smuckers is a brand of jelly and their tag line is "With a name like Smuckers, it has to be good."

Anyway, great to see you. I shopuld be around on a reasonably regular basis. I have to go to Denver for a convention Thursday thru Sunday but I will catch back up on Monday.

Actually, I loved Alien but only secondarily because of Gigers ship and creature designs.

I loved it because it we extremely well done and one of the only truly creepy movies I have ever seen.

Are you familiar with the band Korn? Geiger designed a mic stand for the lead singer. Pretty tasty stuff.

I have to admit, I have a long standing love affair with sphene. I just wish it were more suitable for jewelry...

I did have a small pendant made for a friend of mine and, though the stone was small, it looked absolutely spectacular in yellow gold.
